game wont display

i launch the game and it just goes to the task bar. i click on the taskbar icon and the screen goes black for a second and then it minimizes again.
what gives?

had the same issue but you can get it to work by going into the game folder and open up strania ini file, put window mode to on, then boot the game, go into video options and put it to 720, save that then quit the game and turn window mode off again in the ini file, then the game should boot up fullscreen mode again. Both Strania and Ikaruga will not boot in fullscreen if you go above 720p resolution.

Does anyone know what the games maximum output resolution is? Does it go beyond 1920x1080?
