Steam Deck performance review of The Uncertain Last Quiet Day:
This game is listed as 'playable' but it's not that simple. Here is my steam deck review after spending +11 hours with the game, getting all the achievements and keeping all the graphical setting at its default. If you want a full review of the game itself, there are plenty of reviews online.

Long story short: It runs but I encountered several issues.

1. Occasional frame-rate drops
2. Occasional texture pop ins, loading and blurring
3. Minor graphical glitches.
4. Every time the game starts you have to use the 'steam' button & touch pad and use the mouse to select options to get the game running.
5. My character randomly disappeared a few times when loading into a new area. I had to select an item to interact or restart the game to get him to re-appear. When he appeared without restarting, he would materialise vertically next to the intractable object.
6. Sometimes the pre-rendered environments would not load/switch over but my character was there off-screen at the other location. I had to restart a few times to fix this.
7. Battery performance was average. For a non-graphically intensive game, I was getting around 2.5 hours with the original LED steamdeck with 50% brightness on a single charge.

Overall, the game is playable and enjoyable with the steamdeck. It runs, but with some problems you need to aware off.

Whilst this game had an interesting premise (playing a robot and wanting more information about humans) it felt a bit slow and clunky for an enjoyable experience. It is super short I finished my play through reading all notes and observing everything in roughly 2 and a bit hrs and I was greeted at the end by a "To be continued" screen which doesn't feel great.

Its fun I will give it that interacting with everything but other than that there isn't a lot to write home about. There is a weird bug when running and having the camera change (as its fixed) where you will continue to run despite holding another control down which made it awkward to navigate.

Of course as its a robot game its mainly AI type speech which is annoying which I guess it served its purpose well as that's the intention for a robotic type game. Overall was it fun, yes. Was the story good, yes. Was the controls good, no. And because of the story being super short just for a "to be continued" as mentioned I can't say I recommend it. If you just want a story game and you want to buy both of the games at the same time then that's more than likely the recommended route to take.

Gameplay: The gameplay of this title is somewhat slow, but in exchange for excellent graphics, its playing time is approximately 3/5 total hours if you include perfecting the game. Its strength is the scenery since it has a good color palette and excellent settings including the characters. The bad thing comes in its gameplay, making it, as I said, somewhat slow and boring when passing time.

Achievements: The achievements are fine and refer to other titles on the platform or popular movies, including the base story achievements..

Soundtracks: The sound themes are incredible especially when we are in "The Core". Personally, it reminds me a lot of what T.W.D. would be. (The Walking Dead) and The Wolf Among Us, titles part of Telltale Games Studios.
