Please just use the original sprites ONLY or cancel this release.

I've always wanted an official English version of Umineko, but not like this. This isn't how people should read and perceive this wonderful story. Do not use these hideous sprites. Just don't.

Edit: If nothing else, at least use the original art as the default art and hide the hideous art in the options. It's still better to not use the hideous art at all. The original art was completely fine.

Lots of people are offset by the original art. I agree with you--I love Ryukishi's artstyle and will probably use it when I reread, but to a newcomer the original art isn't professional enough. This art, even if you don't like it, will help widen the audience.

I think I like it more than the ps3 art with what screenshots I've seen too--although I will still prefer the original art.

PS3 sprites are great and I preffer those over the new ones. But I like the expresions from main characters with the new sprites.
Original ones... I'm neutral. But I love the expresions too.

I would say - play with whatever sprites since it hardly even matters. I find it hard to believe someone may had ruined experience because of not "perfect" sprites.

I can only speak for myself, but I personally do not like the original sprites. If they hadn't added new sprites to higurashi I wouldnt have read it. I suspect thats the same for many people.

I kind of don't mind how the sprites are. It doesn't matter if they're the Original artwork, Steam artwork, or Alchemist Artwork. In the end, I still get a lot of enjoyment regardless of that fact.

There's really no good reason to ever be upset at their being /more/ options in a video game, especially if your argument is that it's going to somehow decrease the number of satisfied users.

While I think that the original art have better facial expression and still need to be surpassed, I know that the great moajority of people think otherwise and can even lose interest in reading this.
While we know this game before people from Steam, we aren't entitled to say how they should play something that they paid for, so simply play it the way that you want to and be happy.

My only complaint is that they need a better promo video, this one right now is ♥♥♥♥. Where is the epic intro?
