Game crashing when loading save, Proportional ONScripter
Every time I try to load the game I get this "Proportional ONScripter" crash, I haven't played for a month or so but it wasn't crashing back then. I also have the PS3 patch installed, and did not have any problems with it. Can anybody help? I don't know if it was one of those updates, but I think it probably is...

I've been having the same issue as well now. Was currently on ep 2. Decided to save at a random point to see if it could load and now those saves disappear instead of the one I already have that crashed. I reinstalled the game as well, and it is still having the exact same issue. :/

Can anyone pelase help???

In my case I just started playing a week a go and I've been trying to install the Voice only patch whitout success(the ps3 0.utf wasn't compatible) so I suppose that the new udpate doesn't support ps3 patch anymore , maybe we'll have to wait until a new patch

So you should quit the ps3 patch I guess??

Sorry , it's a patch that includes the features of the ps3 version( japanese voice acting , character art etc) in my case I just wanted the voices , but it didn't work.

Ah I don't use the VA the game is just crashing by itseldf since the update. So I don't think its just a PS3 patch issue

Redownload the 0.utf file and executable and replace the existing files. Rename 0.utf to 0.u. You will probably need to restore your saves as well by renaming the saves folder to mysav

What if I don't care to use the voice patch what could I do to exactly fix it? Plus keep my save files

I think you should do what he saiys , wathever you have the voice patch or not you should download another 0.utf file (you cand find it on the wiki) and replace the old one (naming it 0_old.utf for example)

Just tried to load a game, had the same problem. When I rename saves to mysav, all that happens is that the game creates a new saves folder on launch. When I rename 0.utf to 0.u, the game refuses to launch at all, giving the following error message:

No game script found. This application must be run from a directory containing NScripter, ONscripter, or Ponscripter game data.

The saves folder renaming thus does nothing but clog up my hard drive—doesn't fix the crashes on loading—and the 0.utf extension change makes it impossible to even launch the game. Neither fixes the problem for me. Any other suggestions?

(I'm another non-PS3-patch-user, for the record. Just trying to get the base game working again since the update broke it.)

Thank you I am not the only one with this issue when attempting to fix the files. Seriously can the developers please respond already its been over a month at this point from this patch ://

For anyone still stuck on this issue, I've done a bit of poking around and figured out what's up. Seems like the update back in February broke, not the game, but the saves; so trying to load any of my old saves fails, but if I start a new game and save it, I can load it no problem. Pretty annoying, but not actually unplayable like it had seemed at the time when it hadn't occurred to me to do this test. I figure it's worth leaving this here in case anyone else has had the same version of the problem that I have, so they can know the overall state of things.
