AI is way too easy
Overall, I am quite happy with the game but the AI is getting very very easy now. USSR player can finish game as quick as TURN3-TURN4 while US take a little bit longer. We are testing the game for more than 10+ hours now and we barely progressed the game into Late war. We need more challenging AI

This is well known. They say the game data farming from games will help the AI learn

Yes, it is. That is why I am still in shock because it has beaten me just five minutes ago and besides that playing with the US. It wargamed me though it had already reached 15 VP.

It is true that it had a lot of good luck with the dice rolls, the cards and 1 handicap point but that dummy AI did it anyway.
Is data farmed and used locally to improve that specific AI or globally, from all players?

Pretty sure globally. Although maybe they have built in an ability for it to learn your tendencies and learn to counter them.

No bragging here, but just to illustrate how poor the AI is, I played the game for the first time ever today...and won against USSR AI in turn 8. It's pretty bad.

Looking forward to seeing improvements in the AI - after managing a T2 USSR win via control of Europe after some odd T1 plays, like self-Blockading without a suitable discard.

We need Google's Deepmind AI to play Twilight Struggle.

The AI is a pure master. In turn 2 my AI oppenent mostly gains 10+ or more. So I really can't complain about a failing AI.

I won my first 3 games withouth any difficulty. When I play on Vassal with other people I'm usually more like 50/50. I think the problem with the AI is that it makes a couple of very weird / unwise moves in a game which ends up being very costly in the end.

The first plays with the IA were a disaster. It made several mistakes and took weird actions with no sense. But now there are some improvements.

When I play with USSR I give to the AI 1 influence point handicap and it performances decent plays. It even beat me once althoug it was lucky with the dice roll and the cards.

So what am I doing wrong? Game beats me between turn 3 and 6 all the time. The russian bear easily outpaces me and I never have a chance to catch up again.
I am happy that you guys master this game enough to not see the AI as a competitor but this doesn't mean the AI is generally too easy.

I suppose ultimately it would be great to have various levels of AI difficulty. At the moment it's one size fits all - too hard for some and too easy for others.

I wonder if there's a cpu issue too... If I remember correctly, playdek said the ai cpu time was limited (12 seconds per think maybe?).

Anyway if that's the case, a more powerful machine will find a better move than a less powerful one given the max processing/search time is the same.

Played this game about 4 times (never played the boardgame), 3 times being the US and getting steamrolled by the computer and once being USSR wich i won on turn 4.

Seems like there is a gap of AI between both.

I won my first three games. Twice with the USSR and once with the US. Still I don't consider my self a seasoned player, I do know to be carefull with Blockade though. I played the boardgame abouth three times and read a few strategy tips. The game is very deep and we need a better AI that can reach theese far corners. It's such a cool game, I can't wait for to the next update.
New to the game, even with extra influence its a struggle, a couple of wins and plenty of losses. Appreciate that experienced players want more of a challenge, hopefully when the AI is improved they can have a full version and a less strong version to make the game more enjoyable for first timers getting thrashed.
