Quagmire/end of game issue

I just ran into an issue that I can't seem to clarify within the rules or online anywhere.

Was on action round 7 of turn 7, playing as the US, Quagmire was active, and the only cards I had left in my hand were:
- Facedown China card
- Kitchen Debates
- CA Scoring

From what I can deduce, I had no "appropriate cards" to cancel the Quagmire with (Can't use China card, Kitchen Debates is <2 Ops), so the only card I could play was CA Scoring. I tried to play CA Scoring but had no option other than to click "skip" on the Quagmire popup, which ended up costing me the game for "held scoring cards".

If I made an error on my end, I'd really like to know what I did wrong so I can not do that again, but otherwise it really feels like I had no option to even do the correct thing anyway!

Was Containment in effect? That would make Kitchen Debates 2 Ops, and you'd be required to sacrifice it to Quagmire...

Nope, Containment was not in effect.

Other people have been tripped up by this. I haven't experienced it myself, but apparently you can drag a Scoring card into the Quagmire popup, and it should be scored. Are you saying this wasn't possible, or did you not try drag and drop?

I've suggested to the developers several times that dragging a scoring card into the Quagmire /Bear Trap popup is not at all intuitive, but with no results so far.

I didn't try dragging it in, as as you say that seemed like an extremely unintuitive thing to do. If it comes up again I'll be sure to give that a go.

OK, hope that helps. It should work. It is an interface/information issue, with a bad interface working "as intended", and not an actual bug. Hope they get around to improving it after they finish fixing the remaining bugs.

I have experienced this. You have to drag the scoring card into the box in which you'd normally discard to Quagmire/Bear Trap.

There is writtne "2 or more card" but 2 is not enought...fug that ♥♥♥♥ i lost a 2 hours game in last turn because of that
