Is finding opponents online easy?
I love the board game version, but I no longer have anyone to play live. Is it easy to find opponents with this version?

Fairly, a slow night can take 15m to find a match, there is always people online playing, but if they are looking for a game or not depends if they are in a match or not...

yes and no.
Sometimes someone will host an online game and they will go into another game,
When you try to join that lobby, you have to wait for the other guy. theres no telling when he or she will be ready.

Online, there are people to play with.
infact i highly say play with people online.

The bot for single player doesnt have difficulty options.

and im pretty certian the bot has one train of thought: "BOY! YOUR &SS IS MINE!"
the AI is brutal.

I think I've lost 1 in 50 games against the AI. It has some very basic priorities and will take the simplest route to domination or to break domination in scoring regions, even if that means making very inefficient moves. It has no long-term or even turn-long strategy, can't handle suicide cards, wastes a lot of OPs breaking control, and flounders badly as soon as you gain the upper hand. The only way the AI can win is to get exceedingly lucky as the USSR. I suspect it is incapable of winning as the US against a competent opponent, and I think even my one loss I could have avoided if I'd exploited the AI's weaknesses (I prefer to play as if it were a competent opponent).

Still none of this really matters if you consider the AI to be a training bot. It provides an easy way to learn the game in your own time. As soon as you graduate to real opponents the rating system will help you find people of your own level.

I usually get a game within a few minutes, playing 45 mins. On rare occasions I've waited 10 mins and given up to play something else.
