Having tried to get it for 4-5 hours in several sittings, I finally got my time down to 3.57. Looking back, some tips:
- Learn the route. At no point in time you should be wondering "where to go next". You shouldn't be looking for those red pillars of light, you should know where exactly there are even before they appear.
- Having learned the route, try to optimize every part of it - jumping towards a platform that hasn't appeared yet, cutting corners, etc.
- Make sure you put enough practice into difficult bits. There are couple of 2-3 wall jump section, that being executed poorly, end up with you falling info water. There is no 4 minute result after a setback like that.
- Find a Refunct speedrun tutorial (by a guy named Ace, he's a current world record holder, I believe) and learn couple of tricks. You don't have to learn them all (his result is 2:46 or so, this is a totally different league), but picking up one or two simple ones - like double slide, super-jumps in certain places - may give you those extra 5-10 second you need to get to those coveted 4 minutes.
(sorry I can't connect youtube)
Dev- are you done adding achievements now? (I hope)
He lost the wr one month ago to the guy i linked earlier.
