4 minutes? How?
The achievemnts are pretty great and it was fun to have new things to do in the game, but I was wondering: how does everyone feel about the 4 minute achievement? I can see how I could improve my time, but my best so far was 5:23.55. I could get that under 5, 4:30 will be hard, but I have no idea how to manage 4 minutes or less. How did everyone do so far? :)

i know the best man who finish refunct less than 3 minutes ... i can not understand how he did..
actually , the least time i finish refunct is 4:13 , i get no mistake ...
It took me 3 tries but I got it on the third no problem, basically just made a beeline for the next button and memorized some of the slower ones (such as going underwater to get that one enclosed one).

This is how I did it myself.

i am Chinese ,i can not connect youtube . i come to tell you i got the achievement just now ,3:41 ,no problem and do every action before the map changed ... and i tried ... maybe more than 10 times
Nice work bro! I'm down to 4:49 now, but it still feels unreal. xD I wish the dev would give us a new map or would open it up to the workshop. I got that game for 2€ or so and I really wouldn't mind to pay the same for an additional map. There are so many ways to increase the life and value of this game and it's a bit dad that it's left a bit bare. As an experience it feels great.

It's pretty easy once you learn where abouts the next platforms are raising. Took me a few tries but eventually got 3:51:something. Just try and memorize the route you need to take you should be able to get it. (: Good Luck!

So I didn't understand this either and it was incredibly intimidating when seeing it in my libary at 40% completion. So I got a cup of tea and ran the easier achievements first, learning the layout of the map. If you recognize each point where it spawns, you can already start moving to the next point, right as you step off the previous button. This is a drastic time-saver. It's simply learning the fastest way to each point with precision jumping, which sounds and looks intimidating. I finally got mine at 4:00:11. Frustrating as hell, but good to come back to Refunct after such a long time.

LOL crazy. The guy is using the slide function in mid air though. I didn't know one could do that. How weird.

there are little tricks you can do with your timing, if you're fast you can get the platforms to launch you if you jump at the right time, and you end up cutting your time down second by second. i restarted every time i made the tiniest little mistake, and eventually i found a pretty fast route that i completed in 3:20

Actually, just yesterday I wanted to complain about the same thing: 4 minutes is a bit of a stretch for an average person.
Having tried to get it for 4-5 hours in several sittings, I finally got my time down to 3.57. Looking back, some tips:

- Learn the route. At no point in time you should be wondering "where to go next". You shouldn't be looking for those red pillars of light, you should know where exactly there are even before they appear.
- Having learned the route, try to optimize every part of it - jumping towards a platform that hasn't appeared yet, cutting corners, etc.
- Make sure you put enough practice into difficult bits. There are couple of 2-3 wall jump section, that being executed poorly, end up with you falling info water. There is no 4 minute result after a setback like that.
- Find a Refunct speedrun tutorial (by a guy named Ace, he's a current world record holder, I believe) and learn couple of tricks. You don't have to learn them all (his result is 2:46 or so, this is a totally different league), but picking up one or two simple ones - like double slide, super-jumps in certain places - may give you those extra 5-10 second you need to get to those coveted 4 minutes.

Doable or not, not happy to see 'timed' achievements. Refunct was known as being a relaxing game, good for ppl of all skills. Whenever you throw in timed achievements, it stops being a relaxing experience. It feels like a less than desirable way to get ppl to play it, I wish they would've just added workshop support to it instead.

Dev- are you done adding achievements now? (I hope)

The incentive to play fast, at least to me, is an incentive to play the game in a way such that every movement flows together. That's pretty relaxing once you remove the time pressure to hit a certain target.
