"Dark maus has stopped working"

It wont open, I bought this in a steam sal and it never started. Ive tried all the regular stuff like disabling Anti virus, reinstalling steam and the game, and verifying the game cache. Any help would be nice. Thanks in advanced

This happenned to me.
I saw many people have this problem but i didn't saw any real solutions.
Il tried to reinstall it, to desactive my antivirus, restart steam and windows, cache etc. But the game still don't work. Any other advices ?

I had similar problem with Three Heroes game in Windows 7 and the only solution for me was to follow these instructions (all the credit to those who helped to find the solution).

Open Start Menu
Right-click Computer and select Properties
Open the "Advanced System Settings" on the left panel
Select the "Advanced" tab
Under the "Performance" heading, select Settings
Select the "Data Execution Prevention" tab
Select "Turn on DEP for all programs and services..."
Click the "Add..." button
Locate "DarkMaus.exe" in the steamapps folder
Click Apply, then Click Ok

...and after that, the game should be playable. :)

I tried what you said but i can't add the program to the exceptions (it say something like "you can not turn off DEP for this program"). I tried to totally desactive the DEP (data Execution Prevetion) with cmd but i had the same result.
Maybe it's another problem ...

I tried on another computer and it works. I don't know why. It's an old windows 7.

Maybe someting on windows 10 or a framwork problem don't know. If someone have an idea to solve the problem ... Or i'll play on the old computer ^^

Any luck with this? Having the same problem. I've played this game all the way through when it was released. Now it won't open. Will be changing my review soon.

Very late, but is there a _CommonRedist folder? If so, try going to the _CommonRedist folder and installing xnaf31_redist.
