Turok 2: Seeds of Evil
When can we get Turok Evolution?
Aka the best Turok game.

I always considered it to be da bestest. Granted, I am looking through rose-tinted-glasses (which is weird because I don't wear glasses).

I can relate with rose tinted glasses and I'm glad you enjoy the game. I'm not one to argue other people's taste in entertainment.
For me, Evolution was a total dissapointment. But then again, I owned it for the PS2, which I read was considered to be the worst port.
Here's what I didn't appreciate and again keep in mind, I love Turok 2 Seeds of Evil, so my expectations of Evolution, was something as good (or better tbh).

1.I find the start screen a bit boring. Looks and sounds like something off a nature show. Very calm, soothing and overall a soft presentation. Silly me for judging a book by it's cover, or in this case, a DVD cover, which displays a killer ferocious Raptor!

2. This isn't a jab at the game itself, but of the way the developers worked the software for the PS2....
Super long loading times. Every single cut scene and game start, takes sooo long to load. Longer than other PS2 titles I've played. This was especially tedious when I died repeatedly in the flight levels. I've given up playing the game quite a few times, because I couldn't take the load times any longer.

3. The action in the game, is really blah, imho. There was only one level, (a night time level) that I found to be somewhat fun and I'd purposely set off the alarms in order to get the action going, despite the game suggesting I'd sneak attack the enemies. For the most part of the game, it was all about sniping enemies from afar. Few required up close melee action. Not my thing.

4. The enemy AI aren't very lively. They just stand there until they see you coming. Unlike in Turok 1 and 2, where they're already moving around, searching for you.

5. The dinos are pretty tame, with the exception of the raptors, who come after you. I find the AI on the T-Rex to be quite robotic. It's like taking down an animatronic T-Rex. I was hoping for a raging roaring beast, coming at me at full speed (like in the first Jurassic Park) while roaring it's head off. The inclusion of a baby Triceratops with it's mother, threw me off. I felt like I was at a petting zoo. (as you can see, I came into this game with totally the wrong expectation).

6. The out of this world elements from Turok 1 and 2, are not present in Evolution in any way. I understand this game is a new chapter, but I really miss warping into strange and wonderfully designed realms, etc.

7. The in game music.... A total snooze fest in comparison to Turok 1 and 2 imo. There wasn't any heart racing or memorable tracks to be found in the game, imo. Even the during the boss fights. Everything was pretty ho-hum.
The music wasn't badly composed, per se. But just not what I would have chosen for an action adventure game. They did it better for Turok 1 and 2, imo.

Now, like I said before, I would be curious to see a remaster of this title, if only because I believe killing the load times and using a keyboard and mouse, may actually bring up the enjoyment a little more. Especially if it ends up being as speedy as the remasters of 1 and 2.

This game had out of this world elements didn't it? Oh well. I played this on Gamecube and got my dad to unlock the cheats for me, and so I got to play around on the levels alot. My favorite level is the starting level (it just seemed so beautiful to me as a kid).

My other favorite parts are the levels with the allied soldiers.
The graphics, for what it was, were nicely done, I'll agree. The only outer worldly maps I recall, were the bowels of the city maps. (Vertigo I think). If there were any others, I'm not remembering them.

Also, another plus, are the weapons. I do remember enjoying them. Especially the nuke. :)
Well that might be your opinion.
I however, absolutely adore Turok Evolution
It has a very special place in my heart

I loved the music, the levels, everything

We need a HD remaster

Looks cool to me, can't wait to play it! Keeping original feel (game physic and engine), is must, imo!
multiplayer was probably the most coral part of evolution, I remebr there being enemy raptors spwaning and we always did like some PvE action
I love Turok Evolution. It's my favorite of the series. I'll buy it the second it releases
