Primagen's Lightship Timed Doors (Solution Found)
So I'm stuck in the room where you need to get two Ion Capacitors by hitting a switch and getting through a set of doors before they close and the puzzle resets. I can do the first, but the second closes WAAAY before I get even close to the second door. I tried over and over and over and over for close to thirty minutes, and never got anywhere near the door before it closed. Afterward, I pulled up a video walkthrough to see if it was just a really hard section, or if I wasn't doing it right, or missing a step, and it seems the other guy got through the door first try, with no problem and plenty of time to spare. So it seems the timing of this second door is off (at least that's how it looks to me). Has anyone else run into this problem? Or am I just doing it wrong? Suggestions? I can't progress without getting this Ion Capacitor.

Edit: I found the problem. The door is motion activated as you're going out. The problem I was having was waiting for the door to close, then hitting the switch, and it was too slow opening, so I'd have to wait at the door while it opened, cutting A LOT of time off my run from door one to door two. So instead what I did was wait for door one to close (resetting the timer), walking close enough to activate door one opening, hitting the switch, then running from door one to door two. It worked first try with that method. Man, I feel silly. Thanks for the suggestions everyone!

The door speed hasn't changed (if it had, we'd find it impossible too), and technically can't.
You likely need to change your approach. For example, make sure the first door is open before hitting the switch to open the second door, giving you a quick escape.

Its not hard at all, but it can be tricky, the main reason it can be tough is those rails you can't jump over around the console button, you have to find and memorize the quickest route around them, which isn't hard, for me anyway, but can be annoying sometimes.

There's another timed segment later as well, where you have to get through a door, and the minute you do one of those drones starts blasting at you, I found that one to be harder. But imo, the hardest thing about the lightship was those damn air vents.

you can hit the door switch through the panels so if you collected the ion capacitor in the first room you can open the second room without having to go around the panel

That's also true, altho I didn't think abou that cuz I never really found it that hard.

That later segment were you have to open the doors to open the last 3rd door I felt was harder. All in all the primagens lightship to me was more of a puzzle and less about combat.

Have you tried straferunning? It puts some extra pep in your step if you do it right.

Here is what I did for those doors I got to the control panel to flip the switch I then turned around without waiting to hear the door I then jumped over any obstacle and made it into the room, the trick is timing everything.

Sometimes it helps to plan out the run in your head before you actually do it if that makes sense.
