Hive of The Mantids talisman portal?
In the room with a large hollow "pillar" which you enter using the floating platforms, there's a forcefield that I haven't been able to open. I belive the talisman portal is behind it. Where is the button/forcefield generator connected to it? I've searched the entire section as thoroughly as I can, but I just haven't been able to find it. I've gone through the entire level once already and even destroyed the big forcefield generator, but that didn't open that specific forcefield.

Thanks. I actually found it soon after I posted this. What a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ way to hide that generator behind a wall that's indistinguishable from any other wall. Only hint was those doritos next to it, but I had picked them up already before I started searching for the talisman.

Took me forever to notice but the wall that's it's hidden behind makes a noise and it's a slightly different color from the others.

I'd understand if there was just some powerful weapon behind the wall, but those talismans are required to finish the game so it's really bad design to hide them like that.

This is an old game it made you have to search and plus they had to be creative back then. if it was solid go to level to level it would just be a other FPS game

Whoa, this is a blast from the past.

But hey, I agree with you. Them were the times. My point was that the area was a bit *too* well hidden for something that's required to progress in the game. I wouldn't mind mind if they hid something like a pile of ammo, ultra health or Cerebral Bore in a place like that.
