this is so lazy
It has the same graphics, nothing really improved, the xbox 360 Perfect Dark had the decency to have an actual night an day improvement.

But as I am thinking about posting this I decided to check out a review https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PnDpmmf8sPE... Good points, now that I think about it I remember how awful the controls on N64 were (which it did not have to be) and I remember downloading the pc version, and it did not feel right. For on the music felt too soft.

Zomg this is worth it once I think about multiplayer! But I got to be honest, the front page is not convincing at all. I had to watch someone elses review. It might the ambient lighting that is making the graphics actually look worst.

After using the following console command:
"r_gl_useUniformBuffers 0"

This game is heaven.
If you aren't a fan of the new graphical features, just turn them off.But I appreciate that the devs have gave us options on top of the remastered game.

As soon as I start to play this game, I'll tweak the options till I feel the same mood of the original N64 version. I didn't like the new effects and brightness, so I'm glad that I can set it off. IMHO, the game misses much of it's charm with all that bright. N64 version's appearance seemed more "organic" for me, comparing to the videos.

I hope I'll can find a "sweetspot" between old graphics and new effects.

I will, I am now having a problem with all the textures not loading, or turning white. 0_o Looks like I got some additional tweaking to do.

The important thing is they are an option. I am using a laptop so I do not want a bunch of graphical setting sucking up battery. There is one setting that I like though, and that is Automapping, it actually makes the lighting different between the living things and the environment, has a darkening effect.

Here is a review https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TrXgBerG6iw at 1:37 he mentions this, so I hate having to trade one thing for another, the original actually has a better look/accurate.

Graphics are relatively meaningless.
As long as the textures are clear enough to know what I'm looking at is all that matters.
Controls, framerate, game design, all those things are important.

Graphics are not. At all.
That's the 12 year old gaming virgin in you talking, you need to suffocate him.. like now.

Actually, I have a tendency to try to lower the graphics of every pc game actually lol. Right now I turned Half Life 2 in Halfcraft 2. I try to use Directx 7 when I can. In fact, I tend to always turn off every graphic thing, until it starts to look like mud or I lose important game effects.

Wait wait, this is the "remaster" of the second game that I've been waiting for since the first one launched last year? Why did I hear nothing about it and where is my steam workshop support?
I need to know if this runs and looks as smooth and crisp as the first game does.

That sweet spot is definitely there. I found I like it best with the original lighting, no fog, and max motion blur. the game looks ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing like that.

Me too, but never used motion blur, gonna try that. The flare was put in the game for a reason, the way the default game is, the flare has no use. Which kills some of the immersion, I suppose a little Bloom could not hurt.

edit: double the fov for a motion effect!
