Level 8 is also much more tense due to the plasma gun dudes mostly near the end.
Not saying I wouldn't welcome some additional challenge, I just don't think the difficulty peaks at level 3 at all.
I honestly had way more trouble on level 3 on my first playthrough on Hard just because I was exploring all of it and didn't know where to go. The raptors are easily ignored on any difficulty and the hitscanners on lvl 3 you can either easily run away from or even cover from. I had no more trouble with that level than 2 on my hardcore playthrough. In fact there's that one place in 2 that's IMO worse than the entirety of level 3, the place being the little mountain where on the bottom you get your first boobytrap thingy and avalanches, then you walk around and up and there's a whole bunch of hiscanners in there around this temple with some pools and a rope bridge behind it. I probably died more times in there than in any single place in the entire game on hardcore.
I suppose in the end it just comes down to everyone's personal experience with the levels though.
I know the enemies' speed will be fixed, but please, PLEASE, change it for humans & the likes only. Raptors, beetles, leapers and Pur-Lins are amazing in Hardcore. Please, don't change them :p.
