Odd beeping noise?

I'm not sure what the deal is but whenever I'm playing I hear this sort of beeping noise. It almost sounds like a wristwatch. No idea what it is or how to turn it off, if there is a way. At first I thought it was the music but listening to the audio files seperately I don't hear anything.

It's kind of distracting, to be honest, and I'd like to disable it somehow.

Also I hear this same sound from videos of other people playing, so it can't just be me.

I'm 99% sure. Unless my computer just does something odd with this game, it has never made a noise remotely like this before when playing anything.

there are birds that immitate the sound of wristwatches like the limewire bird or whatever its called but this sound is exlusive to a bird thats only found in the lost lands
