I can assume you were a kid then and Turok Evolution was one of the first games you played period and that's why you have found memories of it. You didn't know any better.
It was absolutely awful and pretty much killed the Turok franchise which was in full force and had 4 games released on N64.
Also turok evolution got 7s across the board you really don't know what you're talking about
Personally I never played Turok 3 and I know it's reputation is not great either. But I did play Turok Evolution and it was absolutely awful and if you have been on the loop about Turok community since that time you would know that Evolution is highly regarded as a pretty terrible game by pretty much everyone despite reviews being around 7 (which are lower than Turok 3 btw).
The game overall was a big failure and Acclaim, the publisher, went under not too long after.
I'm not saying Turok 3 is better.. I never played it.. but the reputation of Evolution is abysmal, which makes it less likely for any publisher to put time and effort when the general interest is probably very low. I would still buy it.
However, there is already a PC version you can try and find.
Here if you want to know what went wrong in Turok Evolution despite your found memories.

And I played Turok and Turok 2 when I was just entering my teens, so it's not like it was the first FPS that I broke my teeth on, I was 17 when Evolution came out, and I still enjoyed it. It wasn't as good as Turok, but I thought it was better than Turok 2. Maybe if Turok 2 hadn't been hampered by the poor frame rate I'd rate it higher, but it was a mess when it came out.
But still, it was far better than Turok 3.
I can't imagine Nightdive investing more money in the series though. Turok 1 and 2 had PC conversions so they didn't have to start from scratch, for the rest of the series they'd have to invest significant man-hours into recreating the games in KEX, and I'm kind of dubious if they made anything close to their money back on Turok 1 and 2. I'd love for for it to happen, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
I would be the first to yell "Take my money!" if they remade Evolution.
As far as Nightdive ports go.. it wouldn't be too much trouble remastering Turok Evolution because it did already get a PC release back then. It should be pretty straight forward to remaster the existing PC port or maybe even simply patch it for modern computers.
Porting Turok 3 however, would require extensive reverse engineering... which there are actually quite a few fans messing around with it.. and NightDive themselves got their hands on a prototype cartridge of Turok 3 for N64 that they hoped it would come with some sort of development debug that would help.. but no.. it ended up being just a full copy of Turok 3 with no difference to the retail version. (There is a whole video on the Youtube channel Modern Vintage Gamer where he dumped the cartridge to see if there was anything special on it.)
Evolution looks like crap.
and yes Evolution was on of the worst games of that generation SM64 wasnt even in that generation it was prior
