You are missing the DirectX11 update for Windows 7. You can grab it either by running Windows Update, or directly here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=36805

It seems your system doesn't have any available graphics hardware, a bit puzzling given almost nothing from Steam would actually work without it. What is your GPU and are it's drivers properly up to date?

That GPU was released in 2004, is now considered legacy by the manufacturer, and is very much outside of the range of support.
Try installing the latest drivers https://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/82758 (64bit)
https://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/82701 (32bit)
But if that doesn't help, you will need to consider upgrading your system.

I also am having this problem and cannot launch turok BUT 1 HUGE problem, for me on win 7 i purposely avoid Windows6.1-KB2670838-x64.msu

amd phenom 2 x6 1090t black
2x nvidia gtx970s in sli mode
8 gb system ram
plenty HD space
AND TUROK USED TO RUN FINE IN THE PAST FOR ME ON THIS SAME SETUP...

Do this.

Or just install the update as there's workarounds for pretty much any game to get it working.

Or just get windows 10 and quit using an deprecated operating system.

ive got too much good ♥♥♥♥ that isnt compatible with win10 (old gems) and stuff like japanese pso2 ecetera many things that would be a pain to format,i have a copy of windows 10 that has been collecting dust, i don't want it unless i HAVE to... ANYWAY how do i get this file? when I click the link it brings me to a webpage which says = " that push can not be found " what do i need to do? now? to get Turok working on win 7 once again like it used to...?

KB2670838 is toxic for a pc gamer who likes to play old games and new games, not 1 dx10 or 1 gfwl game will run with the horrid KB2670838 so called "update"

PSO2 works fine on Win 10. Has for years.

So in other words you're not willing to put in five seconds of work to get games working on windows 10. Unless it's something dos based or 16 bit windows based like windows 3.1 or early 95/98 stuff, which is what dosbox is for, I've never been unable to get games working on 10.
