Official Unreleased Turok 1 OST (by Darren Mitchell)
Hey guys.

So maybe some of you here already knew about this (I didn't), but the composer of Turok's OSTs (Darren Mitchell) has a website where it's possible to buy a digital version of soundtracks from his own collection. Specifically, that OST from Turok 1 was made by himself, but simply never officially released before.

Here is a direct link to the unreleased OST for Turok 1:

https://darrenmitchell.bandcamp.com/album/turok-the-dinosaur-hunter-from-the-composers-private-collection

(There is one free track to listen to at the top: The Jungle City)

On a side note, there is also a digital version of Turok 2's OST. However, that one is not "unreleased" like the one linked above for T1. It is the N64 version, but with some 'remastering' done by Darren Mitchell nonetheless.

So here is a link so the N64 T2 OST with the remastering:

Just wanted to let you guys know. I just love the OSTs of T1 and T2, simply amazing work.

After his DMCA spree, I wouldn't want to give him money.

There are playlists for Turok 1, Turok 2 and Rage Wars. Sometimes, both PC and N64 versions.

His views on copyright do seem a bit draconian:

Ripping from the game is really a violation of my copyright.

This is exactly why I never released it before. Copyright infringement.

If it's (T2) remastered, it's not the OST! Not to bash your post, but people buying it expecting thw ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK might be disappointed (I would, if Port of Adia is not the same as back on N64!)...

Oh and unreleased tracks (T1) are NEVER OST!

Ripping from the game for your own personal use should be fine, but uploading it to YouTube for everyone to listen to it for free isn't legal technically. If he's upset by it then he's in his right to be.

I'm not saying he's wrong to dislike piracy. I'm saying he was wrong to try to fight piracy by making it the only option.

Not to derail but anyone know of a similar situation with the Goldeneye 64 OST?
