Staxel
I have questions!
* Is there a way to scroll between items in the toolbar without a controller, or is it just hitting the hotkeys (1 2 3 etc)?

* How can I rotate objects without a mousewheel?

* Does the structure designation sign have to remain there to make a building valid, or can I remove it once it says everything's good?

* Do I have to always buy food for my animals, or is there a way to harvest / make it myself? I'm wary of uncrating my cows because I don't yet have enough funds or the steady income to make sure both they and my pet stay fed :c

* Will the saw in the building store keep processing wood if I walk away to do other things, or do I have to stay nearby? If I can wander off, how far can I go?

* Is there a way to store items other than shelving? My inventory's tetting full, and while the shelves look neat for displaying things like the butterflies, actually USING the shelving to store things will get frustrating in the long run

----------

* I got the quest to deliver a blue letter to Oscar. I didn't find him in time (still haven't memorized everyone yet), but caught up to him the day after. I've still got the letter in my inventory, though, and neither he nor Aliza (I think that's who gave the quest?) will say anything about it. What do I do?!

* Are insects used as bait, or can I sell them all? If they are, is it all of them, or just specific ones?

* Can acrons be planted to grow new trees, cooked to be edible, or are they just decoration / vendor fodder?

----------

* When hunting for rhino beetles to make the bait box, I just couldn't seem to find any anywhere, and all I could find through google was one single youtube video. In there, the player said he'd only been able to find them high up in the branches of trees, and only during rain. Using that, I ended up finding the two I needed, but I'd like to get a couple more for my collection. So, to make sure -- *are* they only available when it's raining? I can't seem to find any on clear days, so wanted to double check.

* Is there a way to increase the UI scale? I've been watching a series, so I put the game in windowed mode, but in places, the text and icons are small enough that they're difficult to see. If it's not a possibility, would you pretty please consider putting it in? It'd definitely help those of us with poor eyesight :>

* Is the fishing pole only available after building the fishing spot? I don't see it in the store, though there are a few empty spaces where I'm guessing it would be. I'm suck in the 'I need more money!' grind -- need petals to buy the things I need to make the bait box, bleh.

* Speaking of the fishing building, does it matter where it goes? Can I fish anywhere, or only where I build the structure? If it's structure-only, does water type matter -- as in, can I put just one on the pond in the farm and get every fish, or are there different fishes in the ocean, salt water vs fresh water?

* Is it possible to see the growing time of seeds *before* buying them to put them in the inventory?

----------

* So... I accidenally broke something in the builder shop, and the structure became invalid. I fixed the broken thing, but the building is stuck saying it's 'updating', and there's nothing on the shelves for me to buy. Will it fix itself eventually? Or am I screwed?

I don't know much myself yet, but I can answer a couple of your answers definitively:

Scrolling with the mousewheel, but I guess you don't have one? You could always try PageUp/PageDown, and if they work for hotbar items they might work for rotating as well.
* Will the saw in the building store keep processing wood if I walk away to do other things, or do I have to stay nearby? If I can wander off, how far can I go?
I've walked away from it to do stuff around town, and it kept going. It seemed to stop at 15 wooden planks, but that might have been me getting too far away as I went into the woods for a few butterflies.

I'll do some testing on the signs and alternative rotation/hotkey things for you (honestly pretty addicted to this game at this point so might as well).

Thank you!

Yeah, I lack a scroll wheel -- I use a trackball. I could use a controller -- but the keyboard and mouse is easier for movement and block placing / interaction since I'm so used to playing Minecraft that way. Alternatively, the ability to customize controls would be a good thing to have.

More questions edited in!

You can use Q and E to rotate items without a scrollwheel :)

Glad I could help a little at least! I think I found the config file for the controls if you wanted to poke around. It could be the wrong one, because when I used it to change the <previous> and <forward> buttons from Q and E to E and R it didn't seem to change anything with toolbar scrolling. When not placing an item, Q is already used to drop whatever's in your hand and E is used to open inventory.

The file I found is Staxel\content\defaultControlBindings.config

I might go poking around if I get desperate, but for now I'll leave it as is rather than mess with something with which I am unfamiliar -- I'm used to not using anything past 6 most of the time because of the stretch when using WASD. Not a big deal, was just hoping there was something I was missing!

Editing for more questions, too :P

That no longer works. Tried to change keybinds, there is no longer a menu option for that either.
