Does the game include combat?
I am thinking of buying this game since I ador the graphics and the playstyle, but I wonder if there is any combat involved.

There ain't any combat yet what I've seen. Searched the island for enemies but found none.
Maybe later?

Honestly I'd be fine without combat. I always felt like it just got in the way in Minecraft, and if I want to kill things I have hundreds of other games for that.

I might just be weird though.

No health or stamina gauges, no damage of any kind, no combat.

devs confirmed on discord there will NOT be combat in this game.

I don't get why so many farm games feel forced to put combat in it either. I wouldn't be against stuff like avoiding bears or wolves or such things but random zombie and stuff it would feel too generic and out of place.

i think if it would work like stardew valley with monsters just in one area that is not necessary it would work

This game has no Comba,t if you want a game like this, but with ocmbat, try either Stardew Valley, ot "My time in Portia"
This has no combat, its Just fishing, farming, building and bug catching

I'm so happy that there is no combat. All I ever did in Minecraft was play on peaceful and creat a huge farm. So a combat-free game that lets me do just that is my own little heaven <3

I'm glad I'm not just weird.

My thing is there is WAY too much time in the days for there to be nothing else to do. I feel combat would allow people to spend of that time exploring however, I also feel that if it's forced it'd be horrible... So to that extent i'd say making the island bigger or possibly adding more things to do would be better as alot of players don't find it really enjoyable to just build during the day while you wait for crops.

Usually all that happens is everyone starts looking at youtube and memes til it's time to sleep... Kinda just... meh.

There is plenty to do in the game without combat being in the game what I've done is gather materials for the different buildings, catch a few queen bee's and some worker bee's and made beehives and sold the honey, explored the area when I found water I would steal it and add it to the water already on my property, Talked to the different NPC's picking up any quests they gave

I think neither side is weird, I just think it's a matter of taste, "in tastes generes are broken.", personally i love both sides, sometimes i like to go and grind some monsters, some times i like to build a house and tend a farm, some times i like to explore etc.

As long as combat is not forced, there's no reason not to have it. Stardew does it right by keeping it confined to an area. The game needs a little danger to attract a larger audience.

If 'combat' is gonna be added, I'm pretty sure those are gonna be for meat stuff.
