Not stopped me from messing with the game though.
And you don't get ALL items - I'm pretty sure you could at one point, because I'm certain you could get the villagers mailboxes and the town hall sign etc. Just had to trash my town build because I couldn't respawn them after accidentally trashing them, the town couldn't be functional any more.
Because I know creative mode can be switched between normal mode and game mode, why would I want to buy pieces when I can just spawn them? In a way, its not so bad because it was such a grind to make money (though I think that has been fixed in this patch, will need to return to play mode at some point)
