How do I make hardwood lumber?

I need to make a clothing wagon for a quest, and it needs fine hardwood lumber and fine sequoia lumber. I've upgraded my axe and collected quite a lot of raw hardwood and raw sequoia. My issue is, when I place these raw woods on the saw bench, it tells me it can't be used there. I've tried other benches, but no luck.

How do I turn raw hardwood (and raw sequoia) into lumber? Is there a special step to turn that lumber into fine lumber? Also, is there a way for me to unlock these recipes in game?

You don't saw it. You need to mix either lumber or raw wood with the hardwood/sequoia on one of the benches. Maybe carving station? I can't exactly remember.

Thanks for the advice! I finally got it to work.
It takes 2 lumber and 5 raw hardwood on a carving station to make 1 fine hardwood lumber. Same goes for sequoia.

I have no idea how I was supposed to figure this out

I'm pretty sure I picked up a recipe somewhere. I can't remember where from though. But there IS a recipe for it if that helps at all. XD

The wiki states it's only through shipping catalogue, which isn't true, because then it would never appear there, since you need to first get it in order for it to appear there. (Unless an NPC gives it to you.)
