Accidentally figured out this game after Inscryption. Is it worth to waste time on it?

I got this game to support the developer for making Inscryption. When I see more Inscryption merchandize I'll get that without regret too.. but I think I can see the reason why this game is not as popular. Inscryption, despite its depth of lore and metaplay offering is still 1. a game, straightaway 2. and you can play it. (Imagine!) You can install it, start it up, and then start playing.
