On the asmodeus scene, the game grabbed a random steam friend of mine named the badabook(Horror movie) And preceeded to "steam message" me, this message could only be seen in game and it was saying things in all caps like ANSWER ME MORTAL, Creepiest moment of my life... #DyingInside

You might want to add a spoiler tag to the parts where you described the confrontation with asmodeus.exe. Knowledge of how the scene plays out beforehand would lessen the surprise considerably. And yes, what a great moment

Now that you mention it, I'm curious how this part works in the GoG version. Does a Steam chat window appear there as well? Which friend does it pick? (I read that if your friend list in Steam is empty, the developer himself pops up.)

I totally fell for that too... I asked the selected friend if they recieved a message from me a few minutes ago... only then did I realize that the game trolled me hard.

my friend may be possessed by lucifer himself. and he is replying back to my messages when i was playing that game. is that part of the game? or may my pc be possessed?

During the same fight, I got an *actual* message from one of my steam friends saying "WTF. Pony Island?" I thought it was the game trying to screw with me, but it was just incredible timing.

The guy it choose on my list actually says these things. I died like a few times because I thought steam was glitching on me. I was about to send my friend a message to stop talking to me for being a poopy doggy butt.
