You can play two players co-operatively in the same room. Players take turns but work together to achieve the objectives. The score is shared between them.
Party Golf is 4 players offline taking turns, or 8 players online.
No point in staying tuned for updates from Criterion - this game is made by Three Fields Entertainment, an indie developer.

Fair enough, I was sold in by the time I saw the first trailer. So the local coop feature is plain profit IMO.
Now I'll just wait to save enought to get it, then me and my bro can enjoy some mayhem. Until the release, and may we meet in the online sessions,. Thanks for the info, guys.

Well he's half right. They are ex Criterion Devs not tainted by the hand of EA.. Hence the very very similar gameplay style to the old Burnout Games...

Guys, seriously. this would be my favourite game if it had VR support! honestely, dont wait for the war between Oculus, Vive and OSVR. If you release in steam everyone can play anyways. we all know it and full motion controls work too! We had a gaming LAN at the hall yesterday and all agree this game was like to be best VR GAME! If only it had VR, also many people stated it would of been funny to have everyone waiting for a turn to be standing around waiting and able to chat to all players.

people dont seem to realize the physics requirements are kinda high if you max everything up

+1 for VR Support. Staying in the room while everything is getting destroyd... or for the ones who are immun to motion sickness a Following Golf Ball VR Cam "this is you flying through a room while anything gets smashed" would be FREAKING awesome! ....
I would even buy it as a 5€ DLC :)
