Barton's Farm Gold Brick Bugged/Unattainable

There is a gold brick puzzle at the farm that you have to break a box and then use the pieces from that box to create a speed boost which is used to fix the wiring to the switch used to access the golden brick.

The glitched part of this is when breaking the box, the pieces come out with come out static with no movement and cannot be used at all to build the speed boost. I went online and checked other games (not sure on the platform) to make sure I wasn't doing anything incorrectly or missing anything and confirmed that I'm not.

Here is a screenshot, the pieces come out directly to the ground in this same position and do not move when they should be able to be used to create the speed boost.

I've tried various things to try debugging this such as verifying my game cache, leaving and coming back, using multiple character combinations, attacks, etc. and nothing has worked.

Could anyone test this and see if they have the same issue please?
I'm also wondering if I should report this elsewhere, not sure if the developers actually check this or not. This happened to me today, I'm wondering if the update bugged it. I'm guessing people have done this before the update. Not 100% sure if it's on my end.

Can't say anything specific about your problem, but some people reported they were able to fix glitches by playing the game in windows mode and/or reducing resolution/graphic options.

I finally got it to work after changing everything to the lowest setting possible besides the resolution which I did bring down just not all the way and in windowed mode. Thank you! I never thought that would make a difference, that's crazy.

I have the same issue and have tried resetting the video setting every way and still no joy

Hmmm it worked for me in a lower resolution with virtually everything off and in DX9. Pretty sure the resolution was at 1024 in windowed mode. I hope it works out for you.

Dialing back the graphics and resolution weren't enough for me, but I was finally able to get that last brick by adjusting the "Safe Zone Settings" from the main menu - I pulled them in until the corner arrows were visible in their entirety.

I also have this bug. I'm going to try going in with different video settings, and will update on what settings work for me (if any)

Edit: I found no combination of settings that worked for me. If anyone knows some way to give myself the brick so I can get 100% completion, plz lmk.

I just hit this issue myself. I tried lots of stuff but what finally worked for me was changing the save zone to as small as I could, then going back to the far, breaking the box and finally they started moving so that I could build the stuff. Then after I got the gold brick, I saved and exited and then moved the safe zone back to where it was.

Not needed to play with any setting. Just hit box with light attack wait 3 seconds and hit it again. It working every time.

If anybody still needs a fix, I made a video on what I did to fix it, but I'll also write here.
1. Turn your graphics to the lowest possible setting
2. Turn on Virtical Sync
3. When you go to break the box, pause inbetween hits
4. Finally break the box, build the thing, and claim your gold brick!

Hello everyone, for anyone that still has the bug and tried everything (lower resolution, v-sync, windows mode, certain character, etc.) like me. I just just just managed to do it. With Stan Lee. As soon as I bought him because I was frustrated that nothing worked, I started buying the unlocked characters and when I got to him i just thought, why not let's try. And i shot with the arrow thingy he has from a distance, about where the other cylinder things are, then waited 2-3 seconds and shot again, and it worked... with full resolution, no v-sync or any other setting.
