Verify game files (usually unproductive)
Reinstall game (Delete the local files too so a fresh file is formed, filepath below).
Check the screen settings in the preconfig.txt. file: filepath-
C:/Users/#username#/Appdata/Roaming/WarnerBrosInteractiveEntertainment/LEGOMARVEL'sAvengers/pcconfig.txt
You can change the settings in this file to your screen resolution, and you can change the refresh rate to 60fps too.
(If you can't see the txt file you might need to unhide file extensions in your windows File Explorer settings.)
Then make sure none of your pc's graphics are trying to force a higher fps for the game.
You could try one of the compatibility settings, and Win10 has a troubleshooter in the same section, along with the tick-box Admin. setting for all future start-ups via Steam: filepath-
Library/R-Click on game/Properties/Local Files/Browse Local Files/R-Click on the game exe. file/Properties/Compatibility
Set your sound card setting to 16Bit 44100Hz
Possibly, though probably not if you didn't get an error message pop-up? run a reinstallation of the DirectX file for the game or use the microsoft tool for older versions that your pc might not have installed:

Hope something helps:)
Good Luck :)
First, you have to open the roaming folder. To do that, simply hold the windows key (Between Ctrl and Alt) and then press r. It will open a window that should look like this:
If you did it correctly the roaming folder should open.
In there you should find a folder called ‘Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment‘.
Go there and open the ‘LEGO MARVEL’s Avengers‘ folder.
You should see another folder in there, called ‘GUI3’.
Simply delete this folder or rename it to ‘GUI3_Backup’. That’s all you have to do. Lego Marvels Avengers will create a new one, that shouldn’t crash your game.
There's no such file as it still crashes no matter what. I checked to see if there's a file named that and nothing showed.
