LEGO Marvel Superheroes vs. LEGO Marvel Avengers Pros & Cons

To be honest, I didn't really like Lego Marvel's Avengers that much, Superheroes was 100x better. I will list the pros and cons or why Superheroes was better.

Superheroes pros:

1. It had X-Men, Fantastic Four, Silver Surfer (all the characters Marvel doesn't have the movie rights to). EVEN Guardians of the FRICKIN Galaxy, which was incredible, many complained that it didn't look like the movie versions, but actually 4 of the 5 Guardians look like the movie versions except Star-Lord, he's more comic looking, also this game was released about 1 year exactly before the GotG movie came out so TT games didn't know what Star-Lord's helmet design or costume design was going to look like that, that's reasonable.

2. It had map where you can view the entire thing rather than look at a stupid radar in Avengers. Also you can teleport to certain locations so you don't have to travel which could take longer, select missions as markers, etc.

3. Deadpool (sorry but he's a huge reason why I love the game)

4. A really good storyline (especially with all the Marvel characters) SPOILERS: ["The story was great actually to be honest for a kids' game, where all the roster characters team up and struggle on some missions against one of Marvel's biggest villains, like Dr Doom, Magneto, and Galactus at the end, showing the villains and superheroes teaming up temporarily, that wasn't bad actually, and the humor of the villains and heroes fighting each other before teaming up, etc. Also Wolverine's humor saying if there's rainbow unicorns in Asgard since it had a rainbow bridge, lol."](/spoiler)

5. It didn't really focus too much on DLC, it only had 1 or 2, which costed less than 10 bucks in total I believe, also even if it didn't have DLC, it would still beat Avengers since it's character list is way better. I only got the DLC because of Symbiote Spidey.

6. Clark Gregg reprises his role as Coulson and guides you on instructions, which is incredible.

7. It's daytime all the time, you can see the natural colors of the city and the game itself.

8. Doesn't have as many glitches or crashes as Avengers.

9. The voice cast is actually good, James Arnold Taylor for Spidey and Silver Surfer, he perfected those roles. Also Wolverine, I think he was voiced by Steve Blum. Adrian Pasdar wasn't bad as Tony Stark / Iron Man.

10. Superheroes only allows you to play 1-3 or even 1-2 missions just to free roam, doesn't force you to waste a couple to a few hours of gameplay like Avengers just to free roam.

Superheroes cons:

1. Most complained about the flying controls, I gotten used to it.

2. You can't skip cut-scene in bonus missions or missions in general

3. Customization for characters was turd actually.

(PRO OR CON?!?! between Superheroes and Avengers): You can't scale walls as Spidey, I think that was a good move TT games did, because Spidey was a key character in the story missions, if you had the ability to scale walls at anytime, anywhere, then players would be able to get bonuses, bricks, collectibles way too easily, rather than earn the free play characters that are required to climb or fly, stuff like that. Or TT games could have made Spidey scale on walls ONLY DURING FREE ROAM, in Avengers you can scale walls since Spidey isn't a key character to any missions at all.

Avengers pros:

1. You can free roam in Asgard, Manhattan, Washington, Malibu, South Africa (even though most are small areas).

2. Spidey DLC (Scarlet Spider, Ultimate Spider-Man (miles morales), regular lego spidey, Civil War spidey, Iron Spider and Ultimate Spider-Girl.

3. You can skip cut scenes on missions you already played (you can't skip when playing the missions for the first time, it's reasonable).

4. Clark Gregg reprises his role as Agent Coulson, making funny lines, stuff like that.

5. Story wise was meh, it accurately followed the Avengers movies.

Avengers cons:

1. Lots of bugs and glitches, crashes (frequently every now and then for me, graphic card or hardware problem keep coming up, irdk why)

2. The archive audio of the Avengers actors (Jeremy Renner, Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, etc) is really bad, when playing the campaign or story or other missions, while battling, the audio is so low that you can't hear a thing, how I noticed that was because of the subtitles, telling that audio was coming out but was very low to be honest.

3. Doesn't have X-Men, Fantastic Four, Silver Surfer, Galactus character rosters (well this game was movie based, so TT games couldn't really put the characters that Marvel doesn't have the movie rights to). ALSO NO GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, even though this lego game is based on the MCU, and Marvel has the movie rights to it, so why doesn't this game have the GotG roster? Doesn't make sense? Also why does Lego Avengers have Kaang the Conqueror? He's owned by 20th century Fox, that's confusing and weird?!

4. Also you can't access a map (like in Superheroes), you have to rely on a small radar at all costs, which is weird and dumb, also you can't teleport to certain parts of the map.

5. The flying controls are fixed up, but the camera angles for it suck, you can't see above meaning you don't know whether or not you're heading to the helicarrier.

6. Also the game forces you to play 15-20% of the story which is about 5-8 missions just to free roam.

7. It has way too much DLC, and it a too costly expect the Spidey one was free.

8. No Deadpool, period, that's a reasonable con.

9. Also I don't like that the game is Sunset all the time, I liked Superheroes stayed daytime all the time, so you could see the natural colors of the city, stuff like that. This is my own opinion.

10. Didn't even bother to put more lines for the characters since it was using archive footage of the movies, which gave them limited lines, it was quite annoying when Cap saying duty calls 3 times in a row in a bonus mission, the lines were so limited and irritating, Superheroes had voice actors that accurately portrayed the characters like I mentioned before and more lines.

11. Customization was turd, it copied it from Superheroes and didn't bothering making new changes. Where you can actually customize your character and making abilities separate rather than have Spidey's face or a weapon just to get the character's abilities, it was turd, the customization.

So that's all my pros and cons for both Superheroes and Avengers. I would love to see a LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2, I would die to play that.
