Constant and Consistent Frame Stutter in Lego Marvel Avengers (and all Lego games)
I've been having crazy frame stutters with every one of my Lego games. I've been trying to troubleshoot the issue to no avail.

It is now to the point that the game stutters 4-6 seconds, consistently and predictably. It appears to be a frame stutter only, since audio is unaffected. Input from controllers/keyboards/mice are also being affected.

Is anyone else having issues like this? Has anyone found a fix that worked for them? I'd love to be able to play this game, but it's irritating that I can't go 4-5 seconds before a stutter. Makes the game really unplayable.

This used to not happen at all, so I'm wondering if something from Microsoft or on TT's side needs to be resolved.

Things I've tried and haven't worked:

- Turning off Game Mode
- Changing all graphics options and resolutions (even at all low, DX9, still stuttering)
- Stopping Logtiech Gaming Software / Setpoint Software from running in background
- Closing all non-essential apps

Here are my system specs:

- Intel i5 6600K
- Gigabyte Z170X-Gaming 7
- 32 Gb DDR4
- EVGA Nvidia 970 GTX
- Windows 10 x64 (most recent and up to date as of 8/2017)

Someone recently suggested turning off your wifi whilst playing to stop the game contantly interacting. Don't know if it works as I haven't had this problem (not on W10) but it worked for them (and I presume you switch it on before quiting to get the cloud sync.). Worth a go?

Hope this helps :)

Thanks for the advice! I'm on a wired ethernet, so that fix wouldn't apply unfortunately.

I did try unplugging the ethernet cable, which I read helped some people. Unfortunately, no resolution.

This started happening in every lego game I own. The games are completely unplayable now. This issue doesn't effect the rest of my library only Lego games

I'm having the exact same problem. They all worked fine a few months back. The only changes made to my computer have been windows updates. I think that a windows update is what caused it. Hopefully they will be patched in the near future to correct this.

Apparently this is a bug that a lot of people are getting, me included. I have tried all suggestions I've even email Warner Bros and complained about it but all I got in return was a "Thank you for letting us know" email back. I think it has to do with a recent update from W10

Going into task manager and shutting down the Oculus Rift programs (three of them) running in background processes fixed this for me! If you have the Rift store installed I would suggest you give it a try and see if it works for you.
