Co-op incredibly out of sync.
After playing for around 10 minutes the co-op becomes incredibly out of sync. When I host for my friend it says she is using KB/M setup in lobby "Press space" when she is using controller and it doesn't tell me when she has accepted a character. When she hosts the first time I press A it crashes, then I join after that, the game loads normally but gets out of sync and very laggy very quickly. Tried fresh save 3 times and reinstalling, problem still occurs.

Yeah... I've experienced this as well. It's not every time. I'm suspecting something involving issues with connecting well with people whom are far away from your geographic location. Sometimes they glitch out and can't leave a screen while twitching or be revived.

I just pushed a beta branch called 'nothrottle', opt into this branch along with anyone you're playing with and give it a try. We think it'll improve things a lot, but it's entirely untested (or at least, it hasn't been tested since ~2013...).

Same for me and my friend! just before we get to the first bar it starts! Working fine for the one that are hosting, lagging for the other one.?

yeah the desync is always horrible for everyone except the host whenever we try to play, we tried the beta branch too, but it didn't help, it only made it worse.

Played this last night with 3 friends. Everything looked fine to me the host (Linux), but for them (Windows) it was always desynced. A few times it would be gamebreaking such that when you blow up cars they would be gone for me, but not for them. Had to exit screen to retry. It's still playable, but it would be nicer if it wasnt desynced :)

Played through the game once now, but wont touch the game until (if at all possible) the netcode gets fixed. It's just... too buggy, and in some cases entirely gamebreaking.

For instance the host is unable to revive anyone else. In some of the chase scenes only a few people are able to even move. The list goes on. It's a shame because at its core it's a fun game.

Hi, just chiming in with the online coop issues. Many times we run into the situation where the host cannot revive anyone. Other times the game just crashes over and over (without a log) when you try to join a host. I've tried the nothrottle branch (the host did too) to no avail. This seems like a cool and fun game, but the net issues are frustrating because they happen too often, and essentially make the game unplayable in the long run. I won't be picking this up again until the net issues are fixed.

I'm still having issues with the online co-op myself.

1. Occasionally, a friend will spawn in half naked and just twitch in the corner and due to them being out of sync on my end, I cannot progress the screen.

2. If they are on a difficulty other than me my game tends to crash when I try to join them or they crash when they try to join me.

3. Due to being out of sync on certain occasions, I will be stuck on a previous map while my friend is on a different one progressing while I am stuck and vice versa.

I hope that there might be a fix for this soon because it seems like the beta thing didn't work. I do love this game though. It's a great game, with a few hiccups on multiplayer, but a great game.

Why can't they just allow us to bypass their offical servers and let us use himatchi or EvolvedHQ to port forward our IPs (WHY NO LAN?). It would work so much better than this. They still haven't fixed it. And sadly I doubt they ever will.:steamsad:
