The best tutorial is the race. I think "bad" "good" "great" prompts are not needed as you can see if you get a bad acceleration, a good acceleration or a great acceleration.
And hurdles are fine for me :) Hard but fun. Hard *so* fun! :p
Lots of people are complaining that they don't understand the timing from the tutorial, and the point stands. There is no way to convey in a series of still images how to build a rythm, which is what the tutorial is.
You absolutely need to change the tutorial.
Hurdles are NOT fine for you, you haven't completed them, NO-ONE has. They are basically impossible achievements.
This is not about "hard but fun" this is about impossible and frustrating.
Don't say the hurdles are fine until you have the crown in both events.
It would be impossible to teach the exact timing anyway. You have to 'feel' the rhythm. Once you are in stride the rhythm comes naturally - like running.
Try to concentrate on bringing the back leg forward rather than where the front foot will land. Your rhythm will flow from that.
One tip - make sure you bring each leg forward with an equal key-press timing. If you favour one leg you'll get into a hop.
And one more thing - the first two strides aren't inhumanely small. Pick a letter in your name below your foot in the FIRST stride and try to hit that mark. Experimrnt with which letter to use.
Fabulous game sman.
Can you read?
I understand the game and from the amount of your uneducated inane comments of the same thing you're a bot or a friend of the dev.
I can play the game.
The game as it stands, cannot be played to the point where you can get all of the achievements in the hurdles. It HAS NOT BEEN DONE. BY ANYONE.
You know why?
You cannot change the stride length of the character without changing the height, and therefore slowing down. Not only that, introducing bounce changing the rythm which is the only thing this game has going for it.
The stride pattern of a hurdler changes between hurdles sometimes.
The character has ONE optimal stride pattern. It cannot be changed. It does not resonate with the spacing of the hurdles. This is why it is impossible
Want to quantify that with some evidence? I'm not angry, you just can't engage with someone who catagorically proves you wrong and project the anger at your own incompetence.
I played RR with lots of Steam accounts and erased all my good records (and achievements) not to put too hard world records in the leaderboards.
And the AI, it's just replays of me playing. So if the AI can do it, that's only because I can do it.
Ok. Boot up the game and get the crown for the 60m and 110m hurdles and I'll see it on your steam profile and apologise.
