Godot Engine

Godot Engine

What is the proper pronunciation?
I want to call it "Guh-doh", but I've heard others call it "Go-Dot." Please help? :D

No, no, it's a soft "G", like in GIF. The pronunciation is "Joe-Dot".

I'm not sure if I'm misremembering something or if this actually true but I think both pronunciations are accepted by the foundation. I personally prefer Guh-doh over go-dot.

BTW, all pronunciations seem to be fine, some of the lead devs call it go dot, as in dot com just as much as any other, though some people frown that due to the play?

It's got to the point where people often just say all three when they mention Godot (podcasts etc,) so they don't miss any.

I thought I keep hearing it called 'God-ote... but I have heard it called everything else. NGL. Go-Dot, Guh-DOT... PS: Never heard it with a soft G before.
