How to use Spine 2D in Godot 4?
Hello, everyone. How are you?

I have a problem. I can't use the Spine 2D files in Godot 4.3 (downloaded from Steam).

I've already gone through the Spine 2D documentation on the Esoteric Software website and downloaded the .tpz file recommended for my version of Godot.

When I open Godot 4, start a new project, go to Editor and then Manage Export Templates and install the .tpz file. It says everything is fine, but when I create a node in "Other" and search for "Spine", nothing appears, as if I hadn't installed the Spine template.

Can anyone help me?

The spine-godot runtime is implemented as a custom C++ engine module. This requires a custom build of the Godot editor as well as the Godot export templates.

Looks like Spine2D is only available when using their own custom version of Godot. The version of Godot you get from Steam won't work, you have to get the engine from Esoteric Software themselves.
Thank you very much for the information.

I saw and tested it, and it is really impossible to use a Spine 2D template in Steam's Godot.

I am using Godot, which Esoteric Software itself provides along with the recommended .tpz file (spine template).
