I had the same issues with windowed Applications like Godot or Word for example.
I am not 100% sure anymore what steps i did, but one part was to go into Nvidias control Panel under Gsync Configuration and select Gsync only in Fullscreen and not Window Mode.
Otherwise just google 144 HZ Gsync Flickering and i am sure, that you will find a solution :)
G-Sync was my first thought. I had already tried turning off desktop, but that didn't help.
It might still be related, but funny thing is that I noticed it didn't flicker if I had YouTube playing AND the tab was visible. If I hid the tab, or the video stopped everything would flicker again.
Restarting Godot seems to solve the problem temporarily.
This worked beautifully. Thank you for the info!
