Godot will not import assets

When I move files into the game project folder and go back to godot it never import them. I have to restart godot for them to show up and be usable. This happens on all version I use be it steam or downloaded from the website standard version or mono.

Using v3.1.1 stable.

I have not had this problem, yet. What kind of assets are you trying to import?

Kenneys asset packs(Top down shooter). Also anything i drag into the project folder. I always must restart for godot to import them.
