WTF is with weight of Melee weapons?
I did not use melee weapons in my previous play throughs, just brawling if they got too close. This time i decided to try it out. Holy cripes a 24 pound axe if you put on the mods??? You would have to as big as the actor who plays The Mountain from GoT to even have a chance to use reasonably.

It's better then having strength requirements on weapons, at least.

2Kg = 4.41 punds, the axe is not that heavy

did you actually read any of the listing on the weapons? weight is in lbs. the abbreviation for pounds. The weight is not list in kg. the abbreviation for kilograms. Beside the listing is not 2.4 but 24.0 regardless what weight measuring system you are using.

Even if you assign an arbitrary number, like some games do, it would still suck since the base weight number + mod = 24 with a weight limit on the character of 112.

Reality isn't fun gameplay. That said I admit in that case the mods penalty seems a little high.

What kind of axe....I mean the regular fire axe by iteself weighs 7 or 8 lbs iirc. How light do you want it to be? I mean if you put the heavy weights mod on it, keep in mind that mod is supposed to be like adding 2 of the smaller weights from like an arm curling set. Those are about 4 lbs a piece....

Look at this:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zweih%C3%A4nder

A 5.9 ft long weapon with a weight of max 7.1 lbs, used between 1500 - 1550 AD

And now, in a postapocalyptic world, with beam weapons and robots, the only way to improve a weapon is to make it heavy beyond all usability and knowledge?

I go for the idea, that a game must not be realistic, but I'd never ever try to justify such nonsens.

Especially since said fire arms ARE within normal weight expectations.
