Samuel Haas and a buncha noob questions
So any way of not having Angela lose it when we go to see this ddue? I haven't tried leaving her outside yet but shouldn't there be some way to talk her out of this?

2) Does Energy Pistols stack with Handgun skill? Or is it purely classified as Energy Weapons and is only modified by that skill track?

3) Can I traverse areas without having my crew with me? I assume tts impossible for open world travel but what about local interiors?

4) Is it purely scripted? Or having a pretty high leadership skill can keep Angela in line when confronting Haas?

5) WHose is a better candidate to recruit? Scotchmo or Ralphy? Both seem pretty useless or redudant IMO, Ralphy has no combat skills and Scothmo is shotgunner (wrongly named granadier) but a drunk. I already have rose as the dedicated toaster oven repiar/allpurpose doctor/hacker. And my main leader character is master of close to mid range weapons.

It's purely scripted.

Poor bastard...

All energy weapons scale off of the Energy Weapons skill, so no need to worry about building off of other skills.

You can traverse areas with a single character, yeah, just press Space by default to split your group and you'll move that singular selected character. And like you thought, it's impossible for the open world travel from town to town.

Yes, Angela shooting Haas is purely scripted.

And finally, whoever you prefer, Schotchmo is cool 'cause he makes some interesting comments about areas you're in. And Ralphy is very easily moldable into whatever you want him to be since he's so low level.

In the DC it seems the whole party gets transported no matter what. I tried to leave Angela outside but she would reappear indoors with the group. Same thing if I just select her and walk outside the rest of the group appears outside but won't follow further.

Ah, right, that's what you meant. Yeah nothing can be done about that I'm afraid.

As I knew the event and wanted try avoid the kill. I entered the area, used split party button, moved Angela to a corner. Overloaded her with stuff up to have her with red overload. Equipped her with two rocket launcher.

Then started the dialog. And Angela didn't participated and then no kill.

I also read a much simpler solution, control Angela when you start the dialog, and it should avoid trigger the Angela dialog and the event.

Or much more simply, enter the area, fire Angela out of the party, make the dialog, and talk her to take her back. One side effect you lost all her combats stats (kills/damages) which is probably a bug.

Can you elaborate on losing combat bonuses? Does the stats get reset once you dismiss her? Does she go back to her original level too? Do you get to reinvest in the skill points??

Angela was instrumental at the start but if you play the Disnumeroparaphobia trait correctly your character(s) get capable pretty early on. Her combat skills are sort of redundant at this point as my lead char is much more deadly with an AR/Shotty/EW. But her hardass perk and a few other skills do provide alternatives otherwise overlooked. I like having her around for the flavor of the main quest so it won't be much of an issue to temporarily dismiss her. But there is room for one more member and I am not sure who I want to keep, we are at level 8 so Ralphy and Scothmo's stats have been terribly distributed. Making both redundant but there is room for one more... so who will stay out of the two when she is back. Assuming your wanser to my previous questions is more favoriable that is.

Also killing Haas is to happen, does it have any reprecussions later on? Am I breaking the game by working around this incident?

Vardis Oct 28, 2015 @ 11:29pm
It doesn't have to happen.
Dorok Oct 28, 2015 @ 11:42pm
No loosing combats statistics, not combat bonuses. Check characters panel, in top middle there is the number of kills and the number of damages of the character.

If you remove a character from party, he stay close where you do it as soon as you don't move to another area (or too far?), you can take him back and those stats are reset. As far I know there's no consequences but the stats reset.

Well luckily I didn't have to dismiss anyone. The overburden trick worked. Angela didn't Kill Haas.

Cool but does she really kill in DC version? I haven't tried with DC.

To hire more recruits even if you don't want keep them, you'll have remove anyway a member from your party at least temporary. You can recruit the new member, remove a current member, have the new recruit in team, then speak to your member who left but is close to get him back in team. If you don't want lost the stats you can quote them manually and do the additions or edit the xml file to add them back.

For Samuel , dismiss angela outside the bar , go in and talk to the dude , get back out and take back angela. It has no repercussion if Sam dies or not.
