Saving Sarah
In the original you could save Sarah in Titan's Canyon from being blown up by a long range snipershot, however in the DC the cutscene of her escort blowing himself up triggers before I can get a shot.
Does anyone know if you can still save her and if so what is the spot to shoot from?

You can't save her unless you iniate battle with an enemy (beside Klink) and move your character near sarah to kill Klink and i think she give you an error message.
You're suppose to let her get blow off and decide if you kill or leave her , deliver her lockets or not. This will have an impact on her ending where if you left her she will crawl out of the canion all the way to damonta and notice if you left her lockets there or not

I think you might be trivializing the effects of being exposed to a small-scale nuclear explosion at close range. Yes, she's lost some limbs, but that's just the most obvious of several problems she's immediately suffering from. She's probably covered in agonizing burns, has numerous internal injuries, and is suffering from acute radiation poisoning. It's a miracle that she isn't blind and deaf, too.

Even if you managed to get her prosthetics, she'd likely be scarred and crippled for life. Given that fact, coupled with the fact that she's likely in an impossible amount of pain, it's no wonder she'd rather just have you kill her.

Though, for what it's worth, even if you took her to the Temple of Titan for the medical treatment that she doesn't want, she'd probably still end up dying anyway. The hospital under the temple gets wiped out in every one of the official endings for the Titan questline. And even if it didn't, she'd still end up dying at the end of the game because of her prosthetics.

EDIT - Also, nice necro. :D

Yeah. I have a problem with saving someone who as soon as I become aware of her she dies in a scripted event. I get that some people don't like 'tough' choices and the loading of saves to make reality happier is a reason people play games.

But she isn't a tough choice. shes just there to demonstrate get close to monks and you'll get your limbs blown off. all this silly talk of visual novels. she's just a tutorial for stuff.

the chick in the prison, yeah I guess you could go to Finsters and bring this random girl the cure all for cancer instead of your ranger doctor, but son you got a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up set of priorities if you want to do that.

But see.... while she's just some random stranger with nothing to live for.... she's a girl.

I get your point. Chivalry is dead son, thats a stupid choice.

But I want to make stupid choices.

well you can't. sorry. Game must be bad then.

Love Hina something for the Game Boy Advance.

High five, bro! Love Hina is my favourite anime ever. Both Naru and Mutsumi are amazing, and Keitaro himself is an exemplary person. I try to be more like him.

I have nothing else to contribute to the discussion, though, so I'll show myself out.

Well, you're not really the one who cured cancer, you just grab a bottle of the cure from someone who already cured it.

Well, assuming the ranger succeed, she wouldn't have died due to her prosthetics unless she was with you for the final fight at the Ranger Citadel, which I don't think she would be.

Fair enough, the Rangers do stop the baddies from fully broadcasting the "activation" signal.

But still, it's largely a moot point since it would be impossible for her to get those prosthetics and live to enjoy them unless you somehow convinced her that it was worth trying to survive her horrific injuries, got her to the Temple of Titan for treatment, and then deliberately left the situation between the DBM and the Monks unresolved (which is the only end-state for that area that doesn't even get a proper epilogue).

If the Monks win, they kill themselves and everyone in the temple, which would have hypothetically included her. If the DBM wins, they kill the Monks and everyone else in the temple, which would have hypothetically included her. If the bomb is disarmed, then raiders overwhelm the temple and kill everyone inside, which would have hypothetically included her.

Honestly, even back when you could save her (by preventing her from being blown up in the first place), she still died when she reached Damonta and got murdered by robots.
not to compare this to fallout but I'm gonna compare this to fallout. In fallout NV you had the choice of beating the whole game without killing anyone. Choice is good. Or at least if you're gonna make someone have to die, do it in a more organic way.
