[BUG] Pistol Pete - Discussion Topics Don't Work
When you meet Pistol Pete he has two starting paragraphs of dialogue with keywords such as "Rodia" , "pug uglies" and "accident."

He's asking a question though so you don't get the option to select any of these topics and can only reply with "We'll Help" or the negative response. If you attempt to type in and directly ask about these topics instead of picking either choice it claims that they have already been discussed.

After agreeing to help Pete goes on to say more dialogue that gives the keyword of "map." Once again however he's asking a question about joining up with you so your only options are to say "Let's Go" which ends the conversation and switches you to the party recruitment window or the negative option. If you picked to recruit him with "Let's Go" the game will briefly show the buttons for these topics before switching over to the recruitment screen. If you attempt to ask directly instead of picking a choice it once again claims the topic has already been discussed.

If you recruit Pete, dismiss him, and then talk to him your only options are to re-recruit him or not. Any attempt to type in and directly discuss the topics with him result in it saying they were already discussed.



Unsure whether these options are assesible if you pick the negative option in either of the two above initial conversation segments. I'd reload and try it out, but I'd prefer not to temp fate when it comes to recruitable CNPCs.

There are dialog options available only through typing the keyword, I don't think any provide major dialog contents, but you could try type the keywords you pinpointed to get the dialog topic.
These are legitimate topics though. Not the kind only available through typing keywords. These are highlighted in green during the conversation, but the buttons for them don't show up belong because Pete is in "question mode." After you answer both of his questions the game will quickly show those conversation topic buttons, but it gets overridden by the recruitmenu window so you never get actually ask about them.

Already had tried asking them directly as stated above.

I think you have to reject him as a team member to choose those. I don't know if you can do that, have a chat, then quit out of the conversation and then hire him though.
I had the option to accept/reject his request for help and accept/reject his request to join.

I didn't try either of those. I currently have no saved game at that spot and even if I did I wouldn't load it since that area is the base where my recruitable members are and saving and loading in those places can trigger the bug that makes them disappear.


Even if rejecting him worked it still doesn't strike me as working correctly that you can't ask details about the mission or even the location of Rodia on your map simply because you agreed to take the mission.

It would be like having someone ask you for a ride and when you agree they won't tell you where the destination is. It just doesn't make any sense so it can't be right and if it is the way its supposed to work...it should be change because it doesn't make any sense.
