Restarted because of Clown Costume . how many of you have done this?

I really got sick of looking at the clown model. i liked the way my medic looked. i get the joke, i thought it was funny. but you can't remove the costume? that's kind of lame. is that the drawback? couldn't i have -1 something instead? please patch this, friends.

Yeah, it's silly. I wasted an hour on character creation because of that nonsense. It's a turn off.

Quirks shouldn't be nonsensical. The original Fallout had some fine balance with traits but Wasteland 2 DC doesn't.

hopefully they change this. i played for several hours before i really got aggravated with the clown model, and just restarted.

open you save file with a notepad. press ctrl + F open a search and type "RaisedInTheCircus"
where it say <value>1</value> next to that change it from 1 to 0.
my char is normal now and still have the quirck is seems.

----again i had no idea what i was doing so its on your own risk.----

So far i have seen at least 20 other people saying they restarted because of this. i assume there are more. really should be changed or have a different/additional drawback

Or the ability to unequip the outfit. Its possible to find all of the starting outfit options in the wastes as loot some it wouldn't be an issue if you were forced to start as a clown but could put on other clothes you find.


Its a funny joke, but its annoying in a game where you carefully craft your party to play a long adventure. In a roguelike game where your characters lifespan will be short and you'll constantly be making new characters a quirk like that is perfectly fine.

I restarted to have that glorious red mane and feet. You know what they say about big feet, high maintenance that's what.

Here a gift for those that have clearly great taste and judgement a few clown portraits, only males as the females are all too slotty for me, try your luck on pinterest.

i thought it was definitely funny, but when i saw that you couldnt change the outfit even with clothes, i was pretty depsaired. i tried the savegame change, it worked fine.

It wouldn't be so bad if your custom characters were actually saved just like in the original Wasteland 2. Restarting is annoying. Typing a cool bio and then finding out it's gone is a real pain. Typing four bios and losing them is simply aggravating.

Yeah I got a laugh out of this. But still, it's only fair that we can change the costume I think. Making it permanently stick is unrealistic.

I'm playing Wasteland2 Directors Cut and it's still hardcoding the clown costume to your character. I only just got to HighTower, so I may restart, although I really loathe having to do-over my entire team. Annoying!!!

If you exported your team, all you have to do is change the quirk for your clown.

This skin was just awful.

And this tip is safe, I could load my save without problem.
