Wrecker in High Pool Post Ag Center saving with a AK-97
The title pretty much says it all. Why is this guy here? I didn't notice his AK the first time and he one shotted my party leader killing her instantly. Is this a oversight or is this guy supposed to be here? I'm not too annoyed by him since I was able to one shot him with energy weapons but I think a bit of warning before I get hit with over 100 damage would be nice.

The same happened to me, 1 shotted the first person he attacked. Ya it seems a little early in the game for someone with that weapon to me.

I suggest the possibility of renaming the wrecker to "Freight Train" as that would give people a pretty good idea of what he does.

It's not that different from AG Center after Highpool - and it depends on what diff level you play on. The mad doctor will kill 1 (or more) as soon as combat initiates, he can fire up to 6 times with the midnight revolver and you won't have much armor / HP at the level you're doing it. It's just the way it is, take it like a man and learn to use a surgeon ;)

Actually it's easier with the AK dude as you can abuse the range penalty, but the Doc gets no penalty with a pistol and he crits like a mad mo-mo :)

IMHO they are meant to be punishing encounters to give you a taste of mini-boss fights and how you can't always plan & prepare for everything - and personally I love this in an RPG. Learning about losses and how to make the best out of a bad situation / surprise is a good thing.

That guy is designed to be that way pretty obviously this is a random wrecker with a gun that does over 100 damage it's not that he is all that hard to beat its that he has a gun which seems like he shouldn't have. As I said in the OP I was able to kill him in 1 shot with a energy weapon.
