Googled it and found the website. http://www.mybyteideas.com/WL2/

Btw nice tool. Better than to fiddle around with a text editor.

The DC version isn't ready yet, you'll know when you click the link.

I've tried editing saves with text and xml editors but nothing's worked for me. It either won't open, won't save or corrupts the save game.

none of the freeware xml editors or notepad++ or microsoft products have imported the file correctly. I can open it notepad but then there is no formatting.

If you use notepad++ and turn on wordwrap it is pretty easy to modify the save files.

Notepad for windows seems to work. Leafpad for Linux also works...
Be warned, they do not use CR/LF so it's all just mashed together. Still, search for your tags (i.e. "AttributePoints") and you'll see the value inbetween tags. Be mindful of the name (listed somewhere just before the attribute tags, etc) because you can edit all of them.

Also, it's buggy to give multiple weapon mods (i.e. "8" for scope) - they don't stack, but you can get a stack of 8 by editing; however, it might not be handled by the game well. Usually it works, but I'm just saying be warned.

There is no formatting because I believe they intentionally minify it to save file size for faster loading. You can just run it through an XML beautifier.

Notepad++ with the XML plug in works for viewing, but I heard it doesn't handle the <@> properly if you try to save in it. So I view with Notepad++ and then edit in plain old Notepad

I found another FREE editor (well, free to try unlimited) that works WONDERFULLY! It is called Sublime Text[www.sublimetext.com] and I've used both version 2 and the beta of version 3. I was so impressed that I actually bought a license, though there are no restrictions in the trial at all.

It is also CROSS-PLATFORM, so Linux/Mac/Winblows are all supported.

I despise shareware with a white-hot passion, but this is pretty free-ware friendly so I won't have to join me mates on the high seas in order to collect our bounty! x^D
