Other ways to find silo 7?
On my second play through and this time I'm going back through for achievements. Initially my plan was to support the monks so I turned in the DBM and watched as a Monk mini nuked their hideout.

I then decided I wanted to actually explore the temple this time around, but found the museum brocher and the monk leader came running. I turned down his offer to hunt the rouge monk and then ended up fighting everyone. In hind sight I could have said yes and still killed him with better results :)

Achievement wise the only reason I need to visit silo 7 is I think there is a lore book I need to get there. Not 100 percent sure because I can't find a book guide for the diretors cut. Book locations can vary pretty highly from DC to standard edition. I'm working off of one from the standard game and it's been a chore "translating" locations from one version to the other.

Anyone who's got wastland historian maybe let me know if there is a book at silo 7? Or an alternate way of finding silo 7. Heard something about a map at tinkers shop so I'm gonna check that out for now.

I actually found out what I needed. The lead I got about the map is legit. In the back of Tinkers Hanger there is indeed a map to pick up that reveals silo 7. It's sitting on a wodden crate. So if get an itchy trigger finger in the canyon no worries, there is another way :)

There is one lore item you need from the plane which is on the left side of the map. It's called "Double Six Tragedy Report"

You'll need to disarm the Nuke and head back to the canyon. Once you run through the chaos bandits, head over near the wasteland exit(the one that used to lead to the titan canyon before the nuke) and off to the side, you'll find a toaster which contains another lore item. It's called "The Flame Deluge Canticle".

Hope this helps someone someday :D

the canticles is not only a lore item, you turn it in to a guy at lel mines for a +1 mec repair book I recall. the tragedy report you turn it to the museum guy at base I believe.

Ah didn't know about the repair book, cool! I have turned in the report at the museum already. Mostly concerned about the achievement part of it.

I love the references to cult classics. Glad to see that translate from Fallout to WL2. Fun stuff to discover.
