what to do before going to Los Angeles

So i basically have pretty much finishes all Areas in Arizona: killed Commander Danforth, finished Rail Nomads Camp (topekans won), disarmed the Nuke in Silo 7, destroyed those Slicer Robots in the Abandoned Railway, killed that Tinker Synth in Damonta and saved the Mutants in Darwins Village. Is there any "alternative" / "secret" ending before going to Los Angeles? Like General Vargas went to the Helipad and he said that i wont be returning to Arizona until i finished all of my objectives in Los Angeles, im just wondering what would happen if i would start killing people and basically turn on the Rangers - but is that even possible now?

You can get Delta Team sent after you, but I believe that just ends with you locked out of the Citadel with nothing to do but wander around the Wasteland. I think the only "ending" you can get before LA is if you set off the nuke in the Citadel museum.

You can get a different ending if you hold off on going rogue until you hit California, though.

there's a mine you can rescue that nets you a miner companion. You can also trade a toaster item there for +1 mech repair book.

i actually just went and killed everyone in ranger citadel including Vargas ... and yeah nothing happens ... i cant lvl up, no cutscene or anything like that you basically can just run around from place to place but whats the point in that. I did get the outfit and the Weapon of Vargas which is pretty awesome, especially his Pistol is sooo good but now i cant even use it against anyone ... only thing left to do would be pressing the button in Ranger Citadel and ending my life but i guess im just gonna role play and act like before everything exploded i left the place and went somewhere else or something like that lol. I guess this is it for this Playthrough i do have a Save before killing everyone but i dont feel like going to Los Angeles now, i do that in a new playthrough. I might buy and play Wasteland 3 now
