the gold spike

i killed both leaders and ended the feud, the old lady killed herself after thanking me, i have the gold spike, is there something i should do with it? the quest seems over and i cant sell it so not sure if it is needed?

The golden spike seems to be a red herring, and the only actual use for it I know of is for the 'best solution' where both leaders make peace with each other. But that requires the golden spike to be left alone for them to use it.

It's a priceless treasure. It belongs in a museum. Just not the Ranger museum, I suppose? Put it in your storage at Ranger Citadel and forget about it.

I may have been stuck with the heavy Brake Shoe from that quest, once... or maybe it was the spike? Anyway, see if you can place it in the stash to free up backpack space.

well, thats one solution I suppose.

just kill everyone. I actually do something similiar in Rodia, though thats because they ask for bullets on the way in, and hell if I'm going to give someone bullets I'm probably going to end up shooting.

If you go to AO and help the woman repair the vent in the farm area, she will give a ticket for free entry to Rodia. But yeah, they all should die anyway.

actually i didnt kill everyone, the old lady says kill both of the leaders to end the feud and thats what i did, their guards will fight you but the regular citizens will not attack you and the general is happy that you made peace and the train is up and running. the lady then kills herself.
