Gone for good I'm afraid. She's like the games training wheels, sooner or later they have to come off.
So if you can, make sure you strip her of anything and everything you can from her. Because otherwise you won't be seeing any of it again.

damn she was my outdoors man highest skill and she took a heap of ammo with her :(

Hurry up and load the Autosave if you haven't left the area? And always make a manual save as soon as you enter any location. That way you'll always have a clean start to fall back on if something happens.

Though I suppose reloading wouldn't bring your Outdoorsman back. Just the ammo and other stuff Angela walked away with.

First time I played the game I didn't know she would walk off after getting a better offer either lol.
I had come to rely on having those skills of her's.

I won't lie, it was so bad for me the first time that it was easier to start over than to keep going :steamsad::steamfacepalm:.
Good thing I like using character creators in games :steamhappy:, and that time could type out the backstorys I been coming up with while playing the first time for each person.

ACTUALLY, IT IS GOOD TO DUMP HER AS EARLY AS YOU CAN GET YOUR 7TH RANGER, OTHERWISE YOU ARE THROWING AWAY POINTS TO A LEAVING NPC INSTEAD OF AN NPC THAT WILL BE WITH YOU TILL THE END. 4 RANGERS, RALPHY FIRST, THEN SOTCHOMO, AND FINALLY EITHER ROSE OR VULTURES CRY, WHY WASTE POINTS ON SOMEONE WHO IS LEAVING?

Just a heads-up: in the DC version she will also leave permanently if you dismiss her before reaching the Canyon of Titan.

Angela deth leaves permanetly if you dismiss her then walk off the map yes.

pretty sure thats the same in all versions but not 100%.

in the DC version she only starts at level 8 so she isn't as powerful as the non-DC version where she started at level 20.

but yeah she should give you her ammo when she leaves what she takes is her gun and armor.
which could have been worth keeping.

You can save edit her back into the party after she leaves if you want her back. Ironically, she's the best built NPCs both stat and skill-wise.
Angela have +3 stat points compared to the player characters. She uses the best weapon types and she is well Min-maxed.

She gave back her gun, armor and trinket... probably her ammo too. Only kept her letters and Ace's wrench.
This fricking sucks, the game and Angela tell you the entire time that she'll be back at the Citadel if dismissed. So I dismissed her and she still had the true blood staff and quite a bit of ammo equipped (which sucks, I just recruited Chisel and wanted to give him that staff). All gone. Also wanted to have her rejoin the party briefly for the canyon to see how she gets dismissed. Also impossible. Heck, the game tells you how the equipment of the dismissed party member gets transferred to someone else, but wonder what, that didn't happen either.
Now I'd have to replay almost the entirety of the rail tribe areas and plotline (about 5 hours) if I go back to an older save with her still in the party, hell no.

Whoever thought that making her simply disappear without warning was a good idea should actually think things THROUGH before making a change like that without changing ANYTHING in the actual dialogue and in game descriptions. Without implementing anything that at least makes all her equipment pop up in the citadel's storage box. Without any NPC telling you she is gone for good. Nope. It's essentially a bug that'll never get fixed becaused it is bloody intentional and the dev dropped support and moved on to the developing the sequel years ago.

And if people sinking XP into her without knowing that she'll drop out of the party after a while is a problem, just add a line in Angela's recruitment dialogue where she says "But I might be recalled later, so don't count on me being able to stick around". There, one line of dialogue that would fix the issue without having to break so many systems, creating so many headaches for players and particularly having the players doubt the truth of every single tooltip and gameplay hint when it turns out that they sometimes hand out information that is completely false and actually harmful if believed.

EDIT: Sorry for the thread necromancy, but I am just that ticked off.

The game is like that. Full of special little annoyances. Save often and reload.

She will return in wasteland 3

Worst thing is, if you revisit the Citadel, all the ppl are like "Oh, she is just waiting to rejoin you". Apparently rejoin ones ass. Couldn't find her, and she was my "break stuff girl" o.O
