It was quicker than making a double post!
But really? I mean, my eyes glazed over halfway through the first paragraph. But maybe that's just me. I have difficulty following multi-phase directions, where if I miss step 2 for any reason, I can't at all process steps 3 and beyond, and I know that shortcoming of myself... =X
I'll grant that the instructions aren't very concise and I had to backtrack in my reading a couple of times because of how poorly it was arranged. But it is a lot simpler than it looks.
This will be for Wangblows, since I assume most people here are using that.
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Wasteland 2 Director's Cut\Build\WL2_Data"
(Just paste the password into the box, it's a weak anti-bot measure).
Done.
Adjust accordingly if you use Fapple or GNU/Linux.
At the time of writing, it looks like the Dropbox link is down. Also keep in mind, these instructions could change in the future, but this is the most concise version of the current instrucitons.
If you screw up or botch your Assembly-CSharp library, just run a "Verify integrity of game files" through your Steam library, and Steam will replace the mangled file(s) with the vanilla ones.
You may have found that funny but it is a false statement. I see that you didn't bother to install the patch either.
False.
I'm just telling the truth, something others in the thread have a tough time with. You need to stop telling others what you think they should do, get over yourself!
This is a truthful statement.
This was also truthful.
Very true, in fact I was sure that if there was a homemade patch, that I'd have known about it. I was genuinely surprised.
Unfortunately true, my WLAN card is from 2005 and it's a NETGEAR to boot. It constantly fails mid download, making this patch take longer than it should've. :(
Now, you may think this is hyperbole, but I saw that your posts were 11 minutes apart, making this technically true, the best kind of true.
If there's a part you're stuck on, I can help. I tried writing out the instructions in a linear format to help avoid confusion. The patch really isn't as difficult as it looks, and IMO, the weapon modding adjustment alone makes it worth it.
Sorry you feel personally attacked, but I don't see that happening here.
