Found super patch for WL2:DC!
Found this patch for WL2:DC that fixed bugs I did not even know existed! Also makes game more stable and more. I'm posting the link to it so others don't go through what I did to find it.

Link: https://forums.inxile-entertainment.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=17009

It fixed the weaponsmithing bug, makes it so followers have the right amount of perks and skills to their level. And soon it will give enemies perks and traits!!!

Edit: Look at change log 0.9.3 and on, for all the major changes and juicy stuff!

Geez, how many hoops do we have to jump through to use this damn thing?

Nevemind, way too much trouble to use.

This is terrific, I came to these forums because I was going to replay the Director's Cut, but I didn't expect to see anything like this. Installed and working in five minutes. It only took so long because I have slow internet.

It was quicker than making a double post!

Happy to help! As soon as I found this patch I was like: "I must tell the WORLD!"

Just wanted to highlight that part, cause it was funny. XD

But really? I mean, my eyes glazed over halfway through the first paragraph. But maybe that's just me. I have difficulty following multi-phase directions, where if I miss step 2 for any reason, I can't at all process steps 3 and beyond, and I know that shortcoming of myself... =X

You download three things: a patch, a patcher, and a language archive. You apply the patch with the patcher, then extract the language files. Done.

I'll grant that the instructions aren't very concise and I had to backtrack in my reading a couple of times because of how poorly it was arranged. But it is a lot simpler than it looks.

Since I have time and it's a great patch, I'll try to summarize.

This will be for Wangblows, since I assume most people here are using that.

{*ROOT*} = Wasteland 2 Data Folder
Typically:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Wasteland 2 Director's Cut\Build\WL2_Data"

  • Go here[www.dropbox.com] and download patch_v0.9.4ze.xdelta and Localization.zip.
  • Go here[www.romhacking.net] to download deltapatcher_v2.0.1_win32_bin.zip.
(Just paste the password into the box, it's a weak anti-bot measure).
  • Extract DeltaPatcherLite.exe from deltapatcher_v2.0.1_win32_bin.zip literally anywhere and run the executable.
  • For "Original file", choose {*ROOT*}\Managed\Assembly-CSharp.dll. For "XDelta patch", choose the patch_v0.9.4ze.xdelta that you downloaded earlier. Click "Apply patch" and await confirmation of completion.
  • Extract the contents of Localization.zip you downloaded earlier into {*ROOT*}\StreamingAssets\Localization.

Done.

Adjust accordingly if you use Fapple or GNU/Linux.

At the time of writing, it looks like the Dropbox link is down. Also keep in mind, these instructions could change in the future, but this is the most concise version of the current instrucitons.

If you screw up or botch your Assembly-CSharp library, just run a "Verify integrity of game files" through your Steam library, and Steam will replace the mangled file(s) with the vanilla ones.

I have sewing patterns that are easier to work with than installing this patch. I tried working with it and after awhile I gave up.
Groogo Jun 26, 2019 @ 1:32pm
I found the install process tedious and not worth the effort. Waseland2DC runs just fine as it is for me.

You may have found that funny but it is a false statement. I see that you didn't bother to install the patch either.

False.

You need to be not-so-sensitive about comments, Groogo. Yes, a double-post is much faster than installing this. But that's just it, that comment was a joke. Hence why I laughed. Get over yourself, dude...

I'm just telling the truth, something others in the thread have a tough time with. You need to stop telling others what you think they should do, get over yourself!

Very true, in fact I was sure that if there was a homemade patch, that I'd have known about it. I was genuinely surprised.

Unfortunately true, my WLAN card is from 2005 and it's a NETGEAR to boot. It constantly fails mid download, making this patch take longer than it should've. :(

Now, you may think this is hyperbole, but I saw that your posts were 11 minutes apart, making this technically true, the best kind of true.

If there's a part you're stuck on, I can help. I tried writing out the instructions in a linear format to help avoid confusion. The patch really isn't as difficult as it looks, and IMO, the weapon modding adjustment alone makes it worth it.

Sorry you feel personally attacked, but I don't see that happening here.

Are you serious? I have said that I found the patch installation to be tedious, your friends have been using personal attacks because they don't like that I said that. The patch is tedious to install compared to other patches and that would be no big deal except that you and your friends didn't like me stating the obvious.
