Nice I went where you said they would be and walked around the map for 1 min, they poped up and I got the weapon, thanks.
I had 4 Brawler but only 1 Dragon Claw, now I just need to find 2 more Dragon Claw
I recall there being something special about the toxx claws, like they are bladed but unarmed.
like they benifit from samurai or something.
But the real reason I'm back in this thread is that I went to the area where I found Stolls last time, and finished the encounter without the game crashing as I left for the world map. And I now saw that I got east and west confused, as it was in the western part behind northern radiation 5 clouds that I had both of these encounters. So pretty close to Angel Oracle, like it says in the initial post. But hey, if eastern part worked as well, that's a relief.
Down near Long Beach I later encountered the Fab Five, and finally I would get some use out of my stack of RPG-7 that I've painstakingly been carrying around for that very encounter. Right? Nope. Turns out that all I really needed to deal with those guys was my trusty Armor 12-13 Ranger.
Still took a lot of damage when I forgot to end the turn with the knife out instead of the Plasma Hammer, but with Armor 13 the only one who could do any damage was Nick and his grenades. Which ended after the first grenade, since Nick had taken a lot of damage from the first swings of the Plasma Hammer and could not sustain the damage from his own grenade. Literally hoisted on his own petard.
Sadly the loot in the weapon crates contained no less than two Dragon Claws, both of which I don't need. But the minigun, M1911 and Spaz 12 that the guys dropped will be useful. The first time I defeated those guys their crates contained a few AR-Short .45s. Which would've been equally useless for my current team.
And finally it's time to stop lugging all those RPG-7s around! I'm sure one or two will be enough whenever they might be needed.
I'm with Gillsing, the Toxx Claws are not superior unless someone is playing a hit and run tactic to rely on damage over time. Even with my ~half squad, I never needed DoT. I use them as a temporary item, until finding Dragon's Claws.
I march around between Angel Oracle and the radiation belt near Hollywood, until the event triggers. So, they are one of the first items I get in CA's wilderness.
Wow! I had no idea the more unusual weapons dropped at the Fab Five! For me, each time has just been the usual type of leveled weapons. I've never found a spare set anywhere else in the game, just at the event :/
