This question came up already, but still I have to tell you taht we are not planning something like splitscreen coop.
-cheers
Remove 'Local co-op' tag then. This one is used for single machine multiplayer exclusively (otherwise TF2/CoD/CSGO would have one, obviously).
In terms of Steam with "local co-op" is meant e.g. Lan games.
Otherwise there would be "shared/splitscreen".
So just an overview:
- Single-player - one player, self-explaining
- Multi-player - Used for all types of multiplayers. More detailed below
- Online Multi-Player - internet connection required for all players in order to play.
- Local Multi-Player - also offline via Lan.
- Co-op - Used for all types of Co-op. More detailed below
- Online Co-op - internet connection required for all players in order to play.
- Local Co-op - offline possible. Connection via Lan required.
- Shared/Split Screen - offline and on only one machine possible.(The one you are looking for)
- Cross-Platform Multiplayer - possible for players to play against e.g. console players in online multiplayer.
-cheersJesus... i second what remove that tag ffs...i just got the game bcuz of that... i thought i could play 2 ppl in the same PC...split or not...
I wish this game was like others that you can play with a friend in the same machine and without split screen...
anyway... i second that... remove that tag.
same, got refunded for my gf as soon as i read :D
I am sorry that this specific tag seems to give some players a hard time.
If it comes to splitscreen-/couch co-op in general, this topic has been discussed quite often already and as I have stated, I cannot promise anything, but I have forwarded the suggestion and wishes of players, implementing a splitscreen.
But, if you feel that this tag might be misleading in general, feel always free to get in touch with valve/steam. As they might have a look into that and can change that tag or at least the meaning for this platform for it somehow.
I will get in touch with my team as well and see what can be done here as well.
So for sure a tag (re-)named Lan Co-op would probably be the best solution to get this sorted properly.
Thank you for pointing this out and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
-cheers
I have the same opinion as you... the game not having a couch co op was a deal breaker... sadly the PC is missing those games...
Awl, poor little child why don’t you start rolling around on the floor kicking and screaming for us? You won’t be missed. That I can assure you!! Actually it’s pretty pathetic that you cry babies are whining over the need for split screen. That is just pathetic! Go and buy a console if you want that crap.
It's pretty common for people to want couch co-op in an ARPG, it's one of the reasons these kinds of games are so popular. But I guess you're too good any feature that doesn't conform to "muh single player pc master race" you autistic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. God forbid the "superior platform" be tainted with a primitive feature like local co-op!

It's pathetic not asking for couch coop! Some people have real friends, brothers, girlfriends, etc, and those people might enjoy having some gaming sessions along with another human being right next to them. The pc master race should understand that pcs and consoles are just a hardware that can run a software, if the pc hardware is better than the console hardware, so there's no excuse for lack of features like splitscreen or controller support, if it can be done for peasants it can be done for master races.
I'm in no way whinning and crying, I just would like to advise the developers that theres a market for this kind o gamers that they and many others insist in ignore and I would gladly buy their game only if they had this feature. If you look at the indie market, there's lots of sucessful games that wouldn't be as sucessful if they hadn't couch coop!
And regarding the not being missed thing, I don't give a flying ♥♥♥♥ if I'll be missed or not on a gaming community because I have a real life and know real people, also I would like to suggest you to looking for some help if you feel the need to be accepted on the internet.
