Is the game really that bad?

Not bad at all, very fun actually, but the game miss some of the basic aspect of arpg games, like having a build options or decent endgame zones

Yes. No randomized loot, very, very few skills and the ones that are there are underwhelming.

It has great potential, but now-a-days, not many games are worth the price they are sold at, but its how it is now-a-days.

I remember when games were sold for so low, but were so damn good, but now, according to reviews, it has to look good, last 100+ hours...oh and have sex in it......for it to be acceptable.

Its kinda lame.

Overall, its a good game and i know for sure i plan to get it soon.

I just completed the demo and whilst not the full game, a taste of what it has to offer.

The combat was terrible, not fluid at all and had pauses between attacks; no block only a dodge/roll which comes out of the same stamina pool as your attacks. So whilst you are waiting to attack with no resource left the enemy drains your health.

There's no auto regen other than totems (potions), but there are health pools kicking about and the exposure system is daft.

As there is no real direction given for quests/levels I took one path and ended up getting to the boss, having missed a section at the start of the level. When I ran back I realised how many resources and xp (blood) I had missed having to sprint to the next campfire because of the exposure.
It's a really badly designed system when you factor combact/xp drops and loot drops into an Arpg you have to keep sprinting through.

I wont be buying this game, and given that it's pretty much a reskin of their Heretic Kingdoms games, which also failed it's no surprise this game is awful.

Grim Dawn is <---- way, If you have it already then wait for the expansion. This game right from the off lacked so many features that those of us who enjoy ARPG`s couldn`t really play it. If your looking for something in the Viking theme perhaps try Expeditions: Vikings which is a total blast of a game and can only get better.

I'll grab it when it's £4.99 - £9.99 at the absolute most, I tried the demo and it seems OK to me, not so bad to deserve the reviews I've seen but maybe it goes from OK to terrible as the game goes on. I try to play every isometric aRPG as it's one of my favourite genres, so I feel compelled to buy it at some point but not at the current price.

I wonder also if this is really that bad. Is it worser then Shadows: Heretic Kingdoms, which is also from Games Farm. I like Shadows myself.
